the annoying thing is, cos The Ex sits on her backside drawing benefits instead of working, she actually only gets £80 of what he pays! i told him to offer her £100 a month standing order instead of going through the CSA, that way she would have been £20 better off and would have been silly to say no, but nooo that would have involved contact

Can you not broach that subject again now she is letting OH see his daughter once more? If it's going to benefit her and her DD.....

Just make sure you keep a record of all the payments too her, if things go sour she might say that you never paid her at all...

Button, last I heard (I deal with attachment of earnings orders like Krystal described, but from the payroll end), they're gradually switching everyone over to the new system but in some form of order, you can't ask to be reassessed any earlier.

Em, do you know 3 is the lady to ask, re CSA? Until 10th Jan, anyway ;)
  • CSA confuses me, why should your OH have to pay more because YOU are earning more or whatever? It's not your child and not your responsibility. Doesn't make sense to me!

For CSA, read just about every organisation you can think of.

Not alot makes sense and how they work out amounts of anything is mind boggling.

I think they have dice in the offices and they multiply red dice by green dice by white dice and divide by black dice at 50% Five times over :o

Whatever happens, these peoples systems will come to different totals on different days

Our resident CSA expert will be able to help, whilst she's there anyway :p

You know I once did the online CSA thingy to see what it would say, on the basis that OH had Keira every weekend and he'd have to pay me about £300 a month  I don't even spend that on Keira, even taking into account electricity that she uses, and the food she does not eat, clothing etc.....

    Maaaaaaaad!

You wouldn't necessarily receive all that though, Button.. It all goes into a big pot and then some is paid out to the parent with care. It's inflated to make up for the ones who don't pay up.. I think :o (or maybe I just heard that from one of the ranting and raving dads I have to deal with.. the ones who want me to "accidentially" lose their paperwork before I action it on the payroll system )

i dont think they've even read the forms he sent them, cos on the calculator on their website it works out to £170 a month on his wages if he has no children!
