  • Aimee doesn't kiss anyone but me, hubby and my Mum... She barely hugs anyone either... When my Nana asked her for a kiss a while ago she said "I don't really kiss old ladies" I nearly passed out with not breathing trying not to laugh... You can't force them to if they don't want to... And I think the attention makes it worse anyway... My cousins only hug and kiss their Mum but now they're a bit older (5 and 10) I steal hugs and kisses from them... (I pretend to whisper to the little one and use brute force on the big one lol)

Benjamin will be locked in his room if he refuses to kiss people - if he can't show affection he will not be able to enjoy peoples company either :p

But then again, I am victorian mum - I think all this 'you can't force them to' is nonsense!!! We didn't get a choice in my day and Benjamin won't have a choice either - my way or the high way!

Feel free to throw this back in my face in a few years time!!

DSS has already been warned that if he upsets his little brother with his refusal to show affection there will be real trouble (by hubby and practice wife, not me!!)

Keira hugs her friends, and hugs and kisses all the family but sometimes she is in her cranky mood (often!) and refuses point blank, and she told my mum her mouth "Stinks like Gusting" I couldn't stop laughing at that one and neither could my mum (She had just eaten cheese & onion)

I think boys are more reserved with the smoochies.

When you have a very stubborn 5 year old on your hands, the only piece of advice I can offer you is pick your battles... Some things you don't back down on... Some things you just have to let go... (And I don't like to kiss some people, why should I force her to? lol)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • I agree with Krystal !! You either choose to fight with them all day every day, or you learn to just let a few things slide every now and then

on the subject of noise OH's - mine is on the Wii Fit BOXING!!!!

Trying to leave Jack's dream feed so that he sleeps a bit longer - has woken up at 6.30am the last 2 mornings but I would rather 7am as that's a bit more civilised!

Well, my lappy's been playing up quite a bit and my ebay accoutn has been hacked 4 times - turns out a music thing that BIL had installed on my lappy harvested a lovely Trojan Horse  All gone now but a bit hairy as I had been doing online banking!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

  • Goodness me Glam... Did you boot him in the ar5e for that? lol!!!

And talking of noisy hubby's... Mine's playing left 4 dead 2 on the xbox... The machine gun fire just woke Caitlyn in her swing... But she settled back off again...

Incidentally... She usually goes to bed about 9... Any earlier and she doesn't settle... Or Hubby doesn't get chance to spend much time with her when he's on a late... Only tonight I wanted to watch Gavin and Stacey so she's sleeping in the swing lol...

  • sami, do you own a laminator ?? You could use word or paint to create a bookmark for everyone and print it out and laminate it. Would be personal and fairly cheap
