I found his first vest earlier.. if I can detach him from me, I'll get it out again and take a pic compared to his ones now. I'd almost forgotten how tiny he was! :o

You could always go to mothercare or somewhere that fits the seats and ask them to have a look at it for you - just say you bought it from there, even if you didn't.

Or some councils do drop ins to check that your seat is securely fixed.

Could you cut a bit off the wedge (a bit drastic if you are saving the seat for baby no.2)

Ultimately I think I would go for a bit squished over a lolling head :o

Does she have a coat on when you put her in? Perhaps putting her in without a coat but with a blanket?

    Am I helping yet??

Ok, this is the fourth time I have tried to respond. Something funny going on with laptop and it keeps shutting down, so apologies for the delay!

Thanks for the suggestions. She already goes in the car seat without jacket/cardigan, jut a cosy blanket as definitely no room for outerwear. I think it's because she is so tall - a baby her height should be older and able to hold her head up.
I agree that a couple more weeks of slight squishiness is better than head lolling forward.
  • Aw MM - I thought you were really getting somewhere with Jas' sleeping.

Yeah, he's sleeping 2am to 10am with maybe a bit extra either side, but not waking in the night now. He also sleeps on OH during the evening too, so he is getting the sleep, just not in his crib  I think the hardest thing will be separating Rhys from OH earlier..

Just midnight to 8am would be good but he has a last bottle between 12-1am and showing no signs of dropping it. I guess I just have to do as you say and wake him early one day to shock him. Starting tomorrow! :p;)

Long term (think toddler and early school years) he is going to need a 'full nights' sleep (say 7-7) so that is what we aimed for (well with the 7pm bedtime anyway!) although Rhys is probably too small to do it yet. I was thinking about it the other night and thinking that it will probably be a wrench for your OH not getting to spend so much time with him in the evening :(

You could try an early night and a dream feed?

On a positive note, my strict stance on putting Benjamin down awake seems to have done the trick (cross your fingers for me). Instead of 45 mins of feeding him and getting frustrated that he won't close his eyes I am feeding him downstairs, taking him up and putting him in bed and singing a couple of rounds of twinkle twinkle to calm him. Then I leave him, maybe with a little shushing, and he is gone!

I will have jinxed it now!!

MM, you have those wooden things and does one have a peepee?! (hes praying but it looks like a huge wooden woody) :rotfl::T:D Jas looks lovely though I don't know what one she is :o Glad Dylan is getting better.

Monday night Jack had a really stinky ear :o I googled it and it said it was Swimmer's Ear or Otitis Externa

Shamelessly re-posting her fave photo of the moment ;)

And I had to repost it as well cos he is so darn cute! :)

Had a busy day, lots of housework, then RL friends came over. When they left I had lunch and spent 3 hours watching a series boxset that I have, then cooked tea, did bottles, made a big batch of bolgnese and made OH's lunch for tomorrow!

Haven't managed to catch up completely so hugs where needed!

Bit gutted at the mo cos on my 3rd AF since Jack arrived and he's only 14 weeks! They are every 3 weeks now which is a bit depressing & still quite heavy.

OH enjoying his job & we are hoping he can get some time off over Christmas & New Year.

Going into work tomorrow for Christmas Lunch and Jack is going in his Santa suit, decided I should get some wear out of it!

It was a lovely surprise for me because I was convinced she wasn't arriving back until next week!

LO has been beautifully behaved and has no doubt broken many hearts whilst away. Both catching up on sleep!

I've got a £1 off a Photo Mug in ASDA if you want it. It makes it £4.

Unless you want all the presents to be the same

Looks like my Bumbo should be delivered tomorrow what's the betting it arrives when I'm out?
Sent my Mum a pic of the Bumbo as she is paying for it for Jack for Christmas and she thought it was a potty :rotfl:
