I wierd things like that with Joshua! He ate fruit no bother but wouldn't entertain veg at all. I used to give him fruit and veg mixes, then gradually reduced the amount of fruit until it was pure veg
The strange thing now is he eats all his veg, but isn't very keen on fruit :rolleyes:My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »I think we bargain with our kids too much now - all of us - me included!! There shouldn't be any fighting in it. When we were kids rules were rules and backchat was not allowed. You just did what you were told. Well that is the way it was in my house anyway. And that is the way I will bring my poor, downtrodden boy up! He will behave or he will not be given anything nice to do.
That's like me!
I keep saying things like "are you going to put your coat on?" to Charlotte and she just says "no" and walks off! I'm having to remember to not to give a choice and say "put your coat on please" as she does it if I say that! Here I go again on my own....0 -
A friend of mine's son is very badly behaved... When I see him in action and them doing nothing to stop it or even prevent it... It makes me feel better about my parenting... Yes Aimee mouths back at me, but she also knows where the line is and she very rarely crosses it... I also think she suffers with hormones already, sometimes it's all just too much for her and she cries but doesn't know why... I try to be understanding as well as the rule maker....A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I showed OH the little vest and he laughed at me and asked how I'd manage to shrink it in the wash that badly..

can anyone help me?
I need to get about 12 photo based presents costing less than £5 each but don't know what, I did baubles last year so thats a no. anyone know if bags are still on offer at tesco and if so how much?
I'm pretty sure you're not a coffee drinker but do any of your fam drink Nescafe? 4 beans gets you a Photobox mug delivered for £2.49 (and I have lots stacked in my dining room!).

Please don't think for a second that I was commenting on your (or anybody elses) parenting style. I have met Aimee and she is a lovely polite young lady who knows how to behave in public.
I would never presume to comment on any of you because I simply don't know. As well as we all know each other in one way we don't know the first thing about each other in another way - even the ones of us who have met.
I feel happy to comment on the parenting styles of friends and family because I at least have some intimate knowledge of what goes on...and I think that there is a general problem in society these days that kids don't respect adults but that is just my opinion!
I am quite strict in my views...it's the kind of person that I am...but I am a lot of fun too!!! (as long as it is well-structured, educational fun)
LOL which reminds me of DSS's first impression of me when he was 5 - we took him home and I met the practice wife and afterwards DSS told his mum: 'I like Steph, she is like a teacher but not...'

We did calendars the year before Krystal, they tend to be too expensive.
I might get more expensive say £10 stuff for close family (MIL would LOVE an apron) then cheaper £1.50 keyrings for the less close ones to even it out...
I want one of these for me
SB - I think I have 4 beans in the cupboard as I get OH nescaf, no good for getting 12 but I always wondered what I could get with them!
I was thinking of you yesterday when I was driving back from liverpool, I wondered if it was the way you would go home:o0
