Awww Beanie, I wish they would invent transporters cos you know one or several of us would be there in a beam me up scottie.

I's suggest a homebirth also, how will your DS cope if your busy all day? Does he understand all about birth?

SM< well done on the lesson, was you dead chuffed that you didn't even crash or nuthin? I used to say that all the time :D Glad fairies got to you!

AM, you do what is right for you and the kids and we will be here to support you as much as we can :D

Oh I'm ill, had a 5min snooze woke up and ran to be sick. And now DH is at work and won't be home till midnight and no doubt the kids will be up again tonight and it's not fair. I'm feeling sorry for myself.

did my disappointment make people go bye bye :( x

I've been trying to get unfortunate stains out of Molly's sleeping bag and wrapping presents. The monster's awake again now though so I'm here while she's feeding. More stuff to wrap later, a list to compose and some tummy time to oversee.

    Hugs Tia :(

Thanks Sami, i'm off to the mw now so i will see what she says, but i'm still open minded and hopefully she will reassure me!

Tia my Ds knows basically where baby will come from, that i'll be sore, and that if i go into hospital i might need to stay for a few sleeps depending on how things go. He'll be great either way i know it, and i'll miss him loads if i'm in hosp :(

Gotta run, appt in 10 mins and hair still wet :rotfl:

Beenie- I hope your MW can give you some reassurance today. Is she coming to your house? I think Harley decided not to have a birth partner, so maybe she can offer some advice on it if she's around .

I'm here, well flitting in and out as usual.

GISI is right beenie (sort of). I was planning on birthing alone and discussed it at length with the MW, though at no point did I ever consider giving birth anywhere near my cream carpet:eek:. The MW was very supportive and said that the student MWs or medical students would be fighting over the opportunity to help me as it is something good they can add to their records.

In the end my best friend stayed with me though. I kept telling her she could go in a minute...in a minute... then Kezia and I decided we had had enough waiting around and it all happened so quickly neither of us knew what happened until it was over.

Hope I'm not too late, but take the opportunity to discuss with the MW as she may have some suggestions too.

Been thinking of you and hope it all goes smoothly for you.

  • Afternoon all - about to pop out to the supermarket, but thought I'd pop in quickly while Izzy is happy playing on her own for a bit. It seems to be manic her at the moment. Very clingy baby, lots to do, Christmas to sort out, plus all the normal requirements of clothes to wash, park to go play in, and ducks to feed of course!

Izzy had her 10 month check up on Monday and has lost weight... at least part of the clinginess recently has been because she was hungry - daft baby never finishes her food, so I get snacks into her when I can, but everything is so much fun at the mo! I'm now trying to offer her food instead of milk when she is getting stroppy (she can still have milk, I just try her with a snack first, so she stops seeing milk as the only answer if you see what I mean.), and starting to have supper too - she has been having a whole jar of babyfood before bed, so she must be hungry by that point in the day!

Anyway, must go off to the supermarket, or we won't be back by tea time. talk to you all later with any luck :)
