just complete a dog fouling report online and the council will follow it up with a visit and probably a fine............

Just noticed that the fine for dog fouling is between 50 and 75 quid - you would think that would be enough of a deterrent wouldn't you?

The council wouldn't fine just because of a reported incident. They would need one of their wardens to witness an incident... and as far as I know there are VERY VERY few wardens around the country and so you're very unlucky if you get caught.

I have reported dog fouling in my area before... not specific people as I didn't see who did it but I just wanted to get it cleared up. Anyway the council e-mailed back and said if I knew where they lived and let them know then they would "write them a letter".

no that is not what I am saying, but if I am walking through the village and see it then I ask them to clean it up if they dont then I will follow them

Do you follow them, find out where they live, return to the park with a padded envelope and then go back and post it through their letterbox?
Can you not see how demented you sound?

I can imagine the conversation when you got home.
Sorry I am late love, I had to post dog !!!!!! through a letter box and he lived 4 miles the other side of town.

    1) It is probable that it was your dog who caused the poop.

    2) Given that he was happy to pick it up when asked, and that he was genuinely unaware of the act, it seems to me that there is a question of whether he should be let off in this case. There is no justice where rules are absolute. The officers should exercise some discretion.

    3) As for the guy who puts poop through people's letter boxes... clearly this is morally wrong, but I can't help think that there is a Batman-like vigilante at work here, doing bad for the greater good.

If you live in a small area and are in the habit of following people home to post dog !!!!!! through the letter box, then you are even more demented that I first though.
I expect you to receive a face full of !!!!!! in the near future, when someone catches you doing it.

You say that now, just do a little bit, I am alright, I can control it. I only do a bit at weekends.
I am just nipping out on dog !!!!!! patrol, back in a mo. You meet with Ethel from number 30 who is equally outraged. She has been doing it for 27 years and has been in rehab twice, she thought she could control it, but it got hold of her and now she cannot pass a lettebox without depositing a padded envelope.
Stop it now before it is too late. You can still be helped.
Phone DOGPOOP ANONYMOUS. You do not have to give your name and all information is confidential.
They will help you fight the urge to post !!!!!! through peoples letter boxes.
    Please give them a call.
    Good Luck.
