my dad didn't realise she had done any other than urinate!

    How????

When I walk the dog, it walks.

When it does a wee or goes for a sh*t, then it stops. Quite obvious when you're at the other end of the lead!! There is definitely no moving my dog when he's mid-sh*t!!

He should pay the fine, and pay more attention when walking the dog in future.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

so,another pathetic person, whinges about their kids getting covered but cant be @rsed to do anything about it.

I agree it should be an on the spot fine BUT where are the patrols and lets not forget the fine does not cover the cost of them

I am bothered about dog mess but I am certainly not pathetic as you imply. It is foolish to post dog mess through someone's door and could possibly lead you into more trouble than the actual dog owner who let their dog do the dirty deed in the first place if you get caught doing it. I would take the much more sensible and mature approach by noting the dog owner's address, ringing the authorities and letting them deal with it.

T'is true. My old neighbour used to thrown any cat poo from her garden into our garden. In the end if I was so sick of it (I was pregnant at the time and was finding it all over the door, car and bin) I called the police who told me to report it to the police because it was harrasment and I could have her charged. I then sent her a letter telling her that if it happened again I had taken legal advice and she would be charged for harrasment if she did it again. It never happened again!!

If you are caught or the receiver knows who sends it you can be charged for this so I would be careful.

Maybe had their dog on one of those very long "leads" or no lead?

I do have one of those very long leads!! When you're walking and the cable starts extending, it's a good indication that dog has stopped.

If it's off a lead, even more reason to watch it!

The OP appears to be looking at any excuse not to pay the fine. "I'm not sure it was my dogs mess", "the wardens were rude", "they spelt the name incorrectly" etc....

Your father was caught, plain and simple from walking away from a mess YOUR dog had made and other had had to avoid/trod in.

Pay the fine and learn the lesson to pick up the mess your dogs make.

The law treats cats and dogs differently - a dog owner is legally responsible for the behaviour of their dog, but the same is not true for cat owner. If you run over a dog in your car, you need to report the accident to the police, but if you run over a cat you don't have to report it to the police.

Thanks I'm aware of the law, but the poster I was asking stated that they put dog poo through the dog owners letter box I was curious to see if they felt the same about cat poo..:D

Because posting dog faeces through people's letterboxes is such fun isn't it?
