What a great thread! Ok, so I only want to lose a stone, but I am really struggling with motivation. I do overeat, but am only a UK10 and am pretty happy with my size, it's just that I really badly need to tone! I have very wibbly wobbly belly, bum and thighs, and have STS for a couple of years now. I just can't seem to get off my butt! I really really really want to tone up and get healthy and fit for 2010, my big sister's wedding is in June and my bridesmaid dress is now bursting at the seams!! I basically need to drop a dress size and tone up. And I have free gym membership due to where I work, so I really have no excuses! I used to be really motivated but some where along the way I lost it and acute lazyness crept in! Now, I have got myself a gym buddy and have bought some gym clothes to feel comfortable, but I'm embarassed about my body! I don't want the other people in the gym to see my bits wibbling about! Please help me!0

Mischa, are you kidding?
You're a size 10 and you want to lose a stone?
You have free gym membership?
You have sister's wedding coming up in June?
You are lazy but have found yourself a gym buddy?
I suspect the problem may be more about WHY you feel you are over-eating and under-exercising and WHY you're so embarrassed about your body. Maybe if you could understand that and overcome whatever that particular problem is then you'd feel much more invigorated. My health & fitness plans all fall by the wayside when I can't clearly see the reasons for trying in the first place because it drags you into the mindset of asking, 'what's the point?' Hope this helps in some small way.I reserve the right not to spend.

mischa, everyone at the gym is there for the same thing - some just started sooner than others thats all. get yourself a massive tshirt to wear over everything if you are uncomfortable, you can always take it off if you get too sweaty!0

Eyes weeping from any light, nose soooo sore and aching all over but geting bored of just lying in bed. So get up to do something and 5 mins later have to give up and crash back to bed.
Sorry, just wanted to winge and wimper for a few mins.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Mischa what KPC said, everyone in the gym is more concerned about their own bodies than yours - no one will say anything.0
