Hola
SOTW last week - what a lovely surprise, and I wasn't even here to see it.Thanks for doing the chart Fred, you're a star.
We got back from the UK on Monday and this is the first chance I've had to get online - it's all go here! I was dreading getting on the scales as we had a carvery, dinner at our son's, a chinese takeaway and a full on Christmas dinner including all the trimmings, but thankfully we didn't gain too much - 1lb on for me, and 2lbs on for Superman. It could have been so much worse, so I'm actually quite pleased even if it does feel like 3 steps forward and 1 back.
I'm feeling much better now, so it's back to keep fit for me tomorrow and SM played 18 holes of golf yesterday and will be doing another 18 holes tomorrow, so we're back to our resolution to get fit. I'm going to be really careful about what I eat and drink for the next week so that Christmas day proper doesn't do too much harm.
Well done to everyone who has lost this week :T and to everyone just for sticking with it. Sorry to hear about people not being well - get better soon.
Hope to pop in again later this week.
Adios,

Victory - stop beating yourself up for goodness sake!! So you gained a couple of pounds, so what? You've obviously been doing this for a while which means you should also know that slips happen and an occasional slip after so many weeks/months of progress is no reason to go jumping off the roof in despair!! Put it behind you and move on - or I'll be round to give you a good talking to!! :rotfl:So there!0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I am dwelling on it because if the 3lb stays and then xmas week maybe a gain of say 3lb or 4lb that is half a stone on:eek: easy to put on, not so easy to get off and it has stirred thoughts of failure again for me, can't cope with being bigger again, tried so hard not to and now this:rolleyes::D0

Hi everyone. A STS for me please Fred. I am going to try quite hard this week I think, I want to just say thats enough for xmas now but VICTORY'S post has made me think that ok fine to let go over xmas but if i start a week early thats even more to lose. Im feeling really fat at the minute, I know the weight I have gained is only what i lost through stress and not eating but it stayed off throughout the summer and then i let comfort eating creep in and for a month of weighing in it seemed to stay off and then all of a sudden its back there again! So, a focused week in preparation for the fact that i will eat badly between xmas and new year and as i will be travelling back and forth i wont be weighing in for 3 weeks and will be surrounded by bad food although i will try to be good.
Sorry you are ill BB, I just need soooo much sleep at the minute and am getting headaches so just generally run down but you sound like you are really suffering xxx0 -
Hi i am pleased even though its a 2 week loss of -2lbs so glad it a loss .....

Here's this weeks chart:
Congrats to everyone who posted - whether they lost, gained or STS. This is one of the most difficult times of the year for all of us and the fact that you were still thinking of the thread shows that you were trying.
I will be doing charts for the next 2 weeks for those who want to post results (but if you don't want to I'll put you as a STS for those weeks).
Massive congrats to our SOTW poohbear with a wonderful loss of 4lb.
Hugs to everyone who has lurgy or is generally feeling under the weather (or just in need of a hug) and lets face is hugs are calorie free so the more the merrier :rotfl:0 -
WOW!Great!:j:j:T:T0

Hey guys,
BB - sending you lots of healing hugs, and wishing you a speedy recovery from this horrible lurgy you have. Take good care of yourself, take a book, and plenty of fluid back off to bed with you, and stay there until you feel better again. There's no point pushing yourself, and you've achieved so much this year, that perhaps a quiet respite is what you need right now? Clearly your body is telling you that.
Victory - I wonder if, as time goes on, and the more settled you are becoming at your goal weight, that you will be liable to have these fluctuations? The weight may disappear as quickly as it has appeared. I know you find it difficult to cope with, because there doesn't seem to be a reason, but if you can try to still see yourself as a work in progress, and that these may well be ordinary body fluctuations which, when we are bigger we do not notice so much, and see how you need to deal with this. It may be that a week of being very strict with yourself can see it comletely gone again by next week, or you may see something as odd as 7lb gone! Who knows?
Fred - thanks for the chart. Sorry I forgot to weigh in.
My whole home routine is up in the air now that OH is at home. I have to get up and creep around in the dark, as I have to now get up 1st, so I get dressed and go downstairs, whereas before I'd go to the bathroom, go to the loo, step on the scales, go back and get dressed, then go downstairs... etc. So the thought to weigh in isn't there. I must try to get some sort of routine in place (maybe put my clothes in the bathroom on a Tues. night?) so that I do remember. Anyway, it was my birthday this week, so I have had some treats, although I have to say my appetite hasn't been that marvellous, and I'm not feeling like eating anything in particular, so am picking at food as and when. Not really ideal, but I can't face forcing myself to eat at mealtimes either. I would describe my appetite as 'disinterested'.
Well done poohbear, a brilliant loss this close to Christmas.
I got a new food processor for my birthday, so am planning all manner of home baking to do. I've made a cake and some mince pies already. I'm thinking of doing some h/m truffles and shortbread for little gifts to my family too. We're not buying for adults this year, but do think something like that would be nice, and cheap to do.
One more week of trying to keep food reigned in, and then a few days to relax.... before it starts all over again! We'd better brace ourselves for the onslaught of newbies in January/February too!
Stay positive! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0
