  • hello all.. it might be quiet now but come the 1st of Jan we are usually inundated, lol.
I am busy feeding a cold at the mo: got the complete munchies.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

I think its got to that time of year where most people have bigger priorities than weight loss, and even though they want to slim down kinda accept that its going to trail off until after the new year. Thats where I am anyway. Have done a bit of uni work today but dont feel too well, so have given up for tonight and have watched x factor while wrapping pressies. Am going to carry on in a minute, trying to finish them tonight, then cards tomorrow.

My last day of uni for the year tomorrow, but still have tons of work to do. Still, at least I can focus on that and not have to get up ridiculously early to fight he traffic in the mornings. Am off to be very naughty and eat a cookie now, keep doing better than me everyone!

    Hello :)

I'm still here but finding it increasingly difficult to concentrate on much other than what's still to be done before the festive holidays get underway. Hoping to STS this week as not much chance of having lost anything with the number of mince pies that have been floating about the place. They're everywhere, tempting me to scoff them! :o

I find that at work good job I am diabetic but so far there has been 4 tins of quality street and cadbury roses, loads of puff pastry mince pies, loads of yule logs and iced xmas slices,(I looked at the carbs of which are sugars out of interest on the box and it was 24.5!! and the fat was 18.2!! avoid I say) 3 birthdays where they bring in cakes, if they offer it to me I thank them and bring it home for the kids, the rest of them have their hand permanently in the sweet tins:rotfl: then my boss says she can't loose weight:rolleyes:they are proper sugar munchers at work, no such thing as diet coke or a carrot stick for them:rotfl:

Hi, im new as you can all see!

Still getting my head around how to use this, but i must say, you all do extremely well and its good to see you all sticking together and helping/encouraging each other!!

About two years ago i lost 3 stone, and have just got to the point when i have put it all back on and the endless comments from family about my weight really gets me down. I've managed to start turning down all the treats!! being winter, i can get out the nice waRm soups. MMMMM, try co-ops parsnip and carrot soup, it may not SOUND nice, but it is ( i think they've added loadz pepper though, maybe a little too much at times!) i find it really filling!

As for christmas, all the big tins of quality streets/celebrations dont help. especially when all my greedy (skinny) friends come round asking when im getting the chocolates out! luckily, i dont like the christmas pudding!

Anyway, well done to you all for your weight losses! you've all done super! x

    Hi Emzy!

Like everyone else it seems to be a downhill (in every sense except down on the scales) at the moment. Met up with 4 of the 'girls'
I used to go to school with (XX years ago) on Saturday for lunch - if talking used up calories I'd be looking at a huge loss this week. Then in the evening was the staff party, so I ate the hotel dinner. Sunday was too disjointed to eat at sensible times and that always seems to end up with more calories through snacking however hard I try. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day.
  • welcome emzy! good luck for your weightloss!

well, im reporting a STS this week. been very bad for food. lots and lots of parties and christmas end of term drinking, so certainly been way WAY over my syns this week! so have been doing ALOT of walking to make sure i dont gain, which i havent so i suppose thats a good thing!

going home tomorrow! (yay :j) not been back for 13 weeks now and really want to catch up with the family. it should also be a good boost for the weight loss! no opportunity for fast food or extra bits to nibble on as im incharge of the cooking when i get home. so we only have what i put on the shopping list! (we also have a gym (i say gym, more shed with exercise machines in it..) so i have no excuse to get on that treadmill....) so eventhough its a time to binge, im hopeing the next month will be the boost i need to shift the pounds! the aim: eat what i want this xmas - along as i get in that gym after! NO EXCUSE....

but i suppose only time will tell.....wish me luck! xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
shift the bulge! - 54lb lost so far :j .....alot more to go......

Hi all, I've decided to suspend my weight loss until after the festive season cos i'm getting nowhere at the moment - I manage to drop weight during the week and then put it all back on at the weekends. OH's mum is coming on Christmas day for the first time, so between stressing about that and making Christmas presents weight loss is definately taking the back seat (not been to the gym this month at all either)

So Fred can you take me off the chart until the New Year and I'll start again then please. :o

    Oops forgot to say

Hi Emzy - you're soup sounds lovely.

I seem to be doing the reverse to what everyone else is doing:rolleyes: I am desperate to shift the weight this week to go into xmas week next week with a STS clean slate so I can indulge and then get it off for the new year, I am deeply unhappy the scales are not telling me what I want to know:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:did not weigh today as I have loads to do but tomorrow if it is not changed will be on the floor sobbing:rotfl: I need it to go this week and next week so that xmas week is eat eat eat;) no calories are going to be counted in my house xmas day boxing day and NYD that is for sure, bring it on, although it is not madness as the starters is fish healthy, then turkey and desert is sugar free cheesecake so no real indulgence on the cals but there will be biscuits etc added;)
