  • "cathy - i too an on SW, i know how tricky it can be to get you days right when eating out. i suggest why dont you be on a green day and have the prawns as a healthy b, then you can have boiled rice in any amount you want to fill up, along with the salad.
for the prwn puree, you could make your own using some free stock cupboard ingredients. or, what i would do, is save some syns a few days before and after and just go ahead and have want you want with your meal. if youv'e lost 1st 4lbs since november, thats an amazing weightloss! dont get too hang up on syns. the whole point about slimming world is that you can be flexible."

Thanks for kind words. I am going to "cheat" and have it from the takeaway - busy day tomorrow, so no time to cook from scratch. I have been doing mainly extra easy days, which I love, and I am trying to be realistic about my weightloss. I know I went over on my syns last week, and paid for it with a plus 0.5lb, but I was cool with it - I expected a gain - and have worked hard this week to ensure a loss next week.
I just wish the SW website was better informed about food types etc on their list - I now it's never ending, but surely that's part of what our weekly fee goes towards?
Did see a nice prawn puree recipe the other day - so will attempt that next time I have a curry.

    Hi all!

Well done to the losers and STS peeps this week! :D Difficult time of year to keep things under control.

I'm coming to the end of my 2nd year maintaining which is quite exciting! It really doesn't seem that long ago that I was bigger! Anyway, my last monthly weigh in of the year will be next week so I'll see how I'm doing then.

Hi, I just weighed in and have lost a massive 4 lbs so I am very pleased with myself. I didn't get weighd last week and we have now broken up until 7th January so I have a long time until next weighing. I am not sure if that is a good thing or not with C'mas in between.

    Hey guys,
All a bit quiet in here isn't it? I guess it's that time of year when we're all tearing around organising. Quiet-ish w/end here. Christmas decorations have gone up, and I am battling with condensation again this year. We bought a dehumidifier last year, but the electricity bill shot up, so we're trying to avoid it. I'm just manically going around with a squeegy and cloth each day at the mo.

Food is so-so. With our budget being so tight, diet is taking a back burner, and just eating what's here is priority. I seem to be living on bread & marmalade, and being creative with whatever is in the freezer or cupboards for meal times. I'm trying to food shop every 2 weeks, with minor top-ups a couple of times a week, where I get the reduced bread and veg. It's not so bad, as we had a reduced joint of beef for dinner today, and making h/m yorkies, plus the last of my home grown potatoes all goes into the mix.

OH keeps trying to get me little treats, as he knows I'm trying really hard to help with the £, and gets me biscuits or packets of sweets. I suppose it's a cheap way of saying thankyou, as they're cheaper than a bottle of bubble bath or flowers. I share them with him, but it's not keeping me on the straight and narrow.

Good luck with the rest of your travels Bails.

I hope you've the energy left to enjoy Christmas Mazza!
