Data
We will not deliberately make your personal data available to any third party. Although steps are taken to ensure the security and integrity of data, Alan Fransham Ltd is not responsible for loss or theft of data, howsoever this occurs.
This rings some alarm bells because my understanding of the law is that companies are responsible for loss or theft of personal data. Think I'll pass...
Hezzawithkids - Yes, this is clearly wrong and you are right to flag this up. We are definitely responsible for the security of any data held. Thanks for the feedback. I'll make sure this is corrected.0 -

I am still up waiting for the cake to cool so that I can finish off decorating it. Big weekend with family function. Quite proud of myself that I have resisted and have controlled what I ate. Still aiming for 1lb loss for this week. I will be happy with that. ###
So here I am absoloutely knackered with helping out with function all day til 5pm and then been baking the birthday cakes ( had to make 1 with egg and one eggless) for about 60/80 people. Chuffed with cake no 1 as it came out well and am just about to finish off cake no 2. AHHHHH the things I do for folk!!0 -

I realise I am at risk of stating the downright obvious but all diets, however convoluted or bizarre, work (if they work) due to one basic principle: the energy consumed is less than the energy expended. It's a two sided equation. The only difference between diets is how the two sides of the equation are managed.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Yes, you are stating the obvious. We all know the equation, it's how to avoid the temptation of upsetting that apple cart that we aren't so good at.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

nykmedia - I agree. The applecart seems to be very delicately balanced at times. I found I would eat very healthily during the week, plenty of fresh vegetables, fruit and lean protein then I would 'reward' myself with chocolate or something else high in sugar, and that was it. I would throw all caution to the wind and go mad for sweet things all weekend until Monday morning when I would start eating healthily again. I was binge eating.
I've read about the effect of sugar due to the insulin response. When we eat something high in sugar a large amount of insulin is released to mop it all up, but there is more insulin than there is carbohydrate to deal with so the remaining insulin keeps mopping up carbohydrate meaning we are now on a sugar low. This causes us to want to eat more, and the cycle continues.
For this reason I decided to stop eating refined sugar completely. It is hard. There is refined sugar in almost all processed foods, from bread to stock cubes. It definitely helped while I was doing it but I have opted for an easier life and try to limit my sugar.0 -
Welcome to Buffy and Paul.
All you have to do is post your loss/gain/stay the same every week before Wednesday evening. if you use bold bright large text it makes it easier for the lovely Fred to notice.
Good luck - and let us know which particular approach toward the calories in = fewer than the calories used you're taking - the more convoluted and bizarre the better. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
