Hi Needto, Paul and Buffythedebtslayer - welcome
Nyk - I love your full moon / half moon reasoning but what happens when there's no moon (no food :eek:) and YEP you will lose weight, you will lose weight, you will lose weight. You've became my 9pm conscience and between you and granny's guerilla warfare on "C" food it seems to be working :j
Bindi - well done on your cake making, I wouldn't even know where do begin to make one that size without it being burnt to a crisp on the outside and gooey in the middle (mmmm gooey cake....:p)
Well done Victory and Missy :j
apologies for the foodie pictures guys.
The cakes were a big sucess and I thought I wud share piccies, please cover your eyes if you dont wanna see CAKE
just to add, I dont do this for a living and am a pure amateur make cakes for the kids at home type person0 -
Back from my weekend with my sister and student friends. Had a mini blow out but I don't think it was too bad, added to a good week and plenty of walking over the weekend I think it'll be okay when I finally see my scales again. Got one of the Davina exercise DVDs coming from Lovefilm this week so hopefully that'll help me with the exercise motivation.
On a non WL theme my elbow has been red, swollen, hot and sore all weekend for no apparent reason - kind of ruined my weekend a little as it hurts at odd time and I haven't been able to sleep on my side either.0 -
Cakes look fab bindiloo

Golly Victory that's a good pre Christmas loss.:T:T
Melissa, the only way to NOT eat the dreaded chocolate is not to have it in the house. If you think about it, going out of the shop without any chocolate only takes a moment but once it's in your house you need to keep on and on and on resisting it. And chocolate is sneaky - once it gets into your house it gets into your mouth.0 -

pretty cakes bindi! I'm working on a baking project at work so i'm reading baking books for my job at the mo - heaven!
lots of shiny new peeps on here, welcome to you all.
Yesterday was day one. I think I'm going to follow the lunar diet actually - smaller portions and nothing between 2100 and 0700. Yesterday was okay - boss bought me fish and chips for lunch so i made sure there was no snacking and held back on the portions at teatime.0 -
bindi lovely cakes:D
gs thanks
Re chocolate agree with gs don't have it in the house and get used to 70% if not 85%(a bit harsh that one) dark choc you only need a few pieces for the satisfaction or if not then buy the mini bars have one only but more than that no choc in the house is better:D
mazza:j:j:j
I know it is early to talk about xmas parties/do/get togethers but I have 5 yes you read right 5:eek: coming up and one more is a 50th so I have made a concious effort to adjust food intake to counter act, I mean yes of course I could go there and nibble or pre eat or just drink diet coke but the real world is not really like that is it ladies and gents?:D I reckon if we know it is coming we can cut the cals a bit (anything to prevent the 5lb gain over xmas last time and 3lb gain over easter) so it is about preparation, advance thinking, one of the do's is a 5 course sit down meal, prawn cocktail starters, breads, turkey dinner, desert, coffee, cheeses, cakes, and chocs hardly a dieters menu, fortunately the desert, cakes and chocs will not be eaten as I am diabetic but the rest will be gobbled up:D much more cals than I usually have so I am preparing for it. I don't drink so there are no cals wasted there.
I still have the greedy pig in me though, we went out for a sunday roast and for an extra £2 you could super size the meal, the second I saw that I knew a) I shouldn't because the meal without the super would be plenty enough but b) I so wanted to and eat the lot, for some unknown reason I managed to restrain and was happy I did because it was definetly enough and the super would have been too much and wasted, I could feel my stomach yearning and my head whirling with I so want this.:D I have to learn I am not deprived I can have it if I want it but I don't have to eat the whole chicken to feel I have eaten:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I know buffets are a dieters downfall you can imagine in your mind the intake of cals and know that you should not heave it all onto your plate but it is there so tempting so much choice so much of it and it was cooked for us and no washing up:rotfl:I try to stay well away from it or be virtuous and have the salad:rolleyes:
I never go to the eat as much as you like chinese buffet for that reason now:rolleyes:0
