Hi folks, have had a poor weekend diet wise, took the whole family (4 generations) out for a meal on Saturday instead of Sunday for Mothers Day, the food was far too good and far too much was eaten by us all.
Sunday I was very active, I was at a carriage driving competition (competing) and walked well over my 10k in steps but food was scarce and I picked at rubbish when I got home :o
Then on sunday night the migraine kicked in (pre TOTM) nothing shifts it. It has faded away now (its only Tuesday!!) but now have TOTM pains which have me doubled up. Great huh, so am not feeling much like crawling off the sofa except to refill the hot water bottle, on a good note am not getting up to empty the fridge of its contents either!! Here's hoping I get back on track later on today once the pain eases!!

Weigh in this morning is a STS for me thanks fredsnail.

    Hi Everyone...

BB- You are so right, I can not start to go mad and eat all sorts...this point was proved as I put on 2lb just in 2 days after finishing phase 1, I can't get the book till pay day at the end of the week...so I will have to do what I kno for now.

Hugs to everyone feeling low at the moment...Eric- thank you for all the great advice you are giving, I agree totally with everything!

Mrs PI- I don't think I can add to all the great advice you have been given, but don't give up, all things are possible!

As for me I am estatic to say that I lost 7.5lb this week :j:j(could have been 9.5lb if I wasn't so bad on sunday)

I hope I can keep going downwards, I never EVER want to put this weight on again, I think I am at my lowest weight since being an adolescent now ;)

    lo all!

I have rubbish kneestoo - got hit by a car when i was in my teens. Beanie, really hope you are feeling better, it's rotten to have those days when you feel like a failure. I loathe exercise, and have found that if i'm going to do it, I have to get up early to do it and fit it in before I do anything else. I'm walking the dog a bit further than I would have gone on my own and going for a little walk in the evenings and i do feel better for it. You never know, maybe one day I'll be taking him running!

i was a bit naughty with food over the weekend, but it was all meals, not snacking. That m&S roast for 4 . . . . oops. two. could probably have justified the meat and potatoes and bottle of wine, but eating the key lime pie between us in one sitting was z bit of a nono. I had been at the plot all day, digging and churning butter so i may have mitigated the damage a little.

Sary, i'm sorry your kids were so thoughtless. If it's any consolation, we went through a rough patch with my brother in his teens, and things are good now. People grow up at different rates, and as much as I hated my teenage years, i think it must be infinitely harder now.
  • hello all!

some really great losses coming in, well done all!
well, im going to be a bit sneaky this week. im going to report -1lb loss this week, BUT this is my wieght as it stood on monday morning, its my birthday today and we were celebrating last night so im taking a bit of damage control for the next few days, and then gove my slef a full week before i weigh in again. is this cheating?? it mainly for my own peace of mind, i really dont want to report a tempoary gain because of one day.

welcome newbies. mrs pi, youv'e really come to the right place for advice! these lot are so helpful and wise!

chin up to all those feeling low. spring is coming, its the start of a fresh new season, lets all pull together and work ourway through it!

    xxxx
shift the bulge! - 54lb lost so far :j .....alot more to go......

I said to myself this week i would improve my eating. Have i heck!! Got fish and chips tonight, bacon sandwhich for lunch (in a pita though!!) and toast for breakie.

Im not nervous about my interview tomorrow, i think i should be but i dunno why im not. Im just going to start work on my little plan to get that ready before i need to pick my brother up and then were off for a family quiz night tonight!

Scary: i've seen your tv, i remember commenting on that bad boy. We bought a flat screen job from argos, its pretty good. I've not heard anyone whos had problems but then i suppose everyone knows someone with something.

Hi all - I had a week off work and spent it talking to bank managers / estate agents and other nasty people. Now OH and I just need to come to a descision "are we gonna move house just now then he will look for a better job / or will he look for a job then move" Suggestions on a postcard please? Boy am I glad to be back at work!!!

I'm playing catch up so bear with me

Hello TwiceasNice, Dane-katie and Tessha Hope your weight loss journeys are going ok so far.

Victory - your work is ridiculous. They're really making it hard for you to stay impartial

Hezza - what OU course are you doing? Hope your essay got away OK?

KPC - glad you're having fun with Alfie (wee tear in my eye for your friend though) and congrats on being last weeks SOTW

    Belated Happy Birthday Heather

BB - "Granny - I'd love to do decluttering as a new career, but not sure though I have the energy to rugby tackle you, handcuff you to a bedpost and then remove 90% of the contents from your house and burn in the garden before you knaw you way to freedom and run wailing round your garden like abanshee beating me with a burning crocheted loo roll holder."

this is the hardest part of weight loss, getting the right mental state, you have to be focused and want to do it above anything else, stress and worry just ensure failure if your hearts only half in it, which is why 99% of diets fail and most of us keep yoyoing

realistically it has taken me 10 years to get to this stage.....

its a path we all have to take on our own, for me i was just utterly sick beyond belief of being a giant sack of crap and i worried terribly for SWMBO and her future if i carried on that path.

come back in 12 months thou and see if i have to eat these words lol
