I really am impressed with the old walkers baked, not only are they tastier than normal crisps imo and low fat for a snack they have no msg, preservatives or artificial colouring

Just back from weigh in and am so pleased to announce a 2 lb loss! I have been so good lately - can't believe it myself!:rotfl:

Sympathies to everyone with knee problems as I too am a fellow sufferer. I have no catilage in my left knee at all and the right isn't far behind:( I am going to have to have a knee replacement but the consultant at the hospital said I would need to lose at least another 6 stone before they would even look at it again:( However he did recommend cortisone injections into both knees which my GP has done, it has been a week now and the difference in pain levels is outstanding!:) I use to be at least an 8 for pain in my left knee and woke up constantly in the night with pain. Now I am about a 3 and have slept 7 hours in a row without waking up for the first time in - I can't remember!!:T:T Plus the the Dr. has said that since I have no cartilage anyway I can have the injections as often as needed:j:j

Sary - you need to lay a heavy guilt trip on your oldest two! I would walk around muttering for a couple of days about who I am going to leave the house too when I pop my clogs - that normally brings my two into order:rotfl::rotfl:! Hope you don't take offence - it is meant kindly.:A

    Love
    Marion:)

Beanie - you are just as intitled to feel fed up with your own situation. Don't feel sorry for me about the hospice- I am not personally suffering nor to be honest is it someone I am close too - it's a friend of OH's and we are looking after his mum by taking her when we can and sitting with her. And it is sad, bu the person concerend has also been able to do many things in his life that you haven't due to your own health issues, so everyone's has there own story and their own losses and gains.

Yes- I wish you'd downloaded dragons voice recognision software too:D

    Well done marion:T:T
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

My understanding is once a ligament is damaged then they can't really repair themselves...they will improve slightly with rest (about 3 to 6 months) but if they have been stretched then the joint will still feel unstable. I damaged my anterior cruciate ligament (just like a fooballer :rotfl:!!) a couple of years ago and had to have surgery to reconstruct it.

Sorry that's not better news :o

I empathise with you beanie and with all the other knee problem sufferers; it's such a nightmare isn't it.

    Well done marion:T:T

And I will second this. To everyone who is feeling low, try not to beat yourself up about it. Adding guilt to on top you're already feeling down does you no favours. Try to just let yourself feel however it is you do feel.

Sorry if that's a bit garbled :o but I hope you get what I mean.
    :grouphug: to you all!

And Marion, that's brilliant, well done you!! :T

I just went out on my lunchbreak and managed to not buy any naughty treat foods, plus avoided to lure of Starbucks. Yay me! :A

Beanie, I don't want to suggest anything that's not realistic for you but if you can come up with a list of 5 or 10 activities you can do, then how about starting small? If you can manage 10 mins most days of something on your list and increase that gradually by just 10% each week then you could be doing 30 mins a day before the summer :).

If you keep a log of what you're doing then you'll be able to enjoy a sense of achievement and hopefully see your progress over time. Don't feel it all has to be done at once, be kind to yourself, focus on what you know you can manage :). Don't like to think of you being so upset :(.
