2lb loss this week, I am quite pleased as I have been managing to find time to do more exercise this week, even to the point of demanding my OH stops the car a mile from home and I walk the rest!! I think the weather has helped, being able to get out and about more in the sunshine, I wish we had a gym near by but the nearest one is a 50 mile round trip so am doing more around the farm, I think spring cleaning has kicked in.

Rosieposie, out of curiosity, what diet is it that you are on??
QT it is at least a quarter of a pound in the right direction.

Hope all is going well with everyone else x x

I had a sneaky peek on the scales the past couple of days and I think I may have had a fairly significant gain - not happy considering that I exercised Sunday, Monday and twice today and a couple of times last week and haven't gone overboard with alcohol. Hmm think a food diary may be in order to check I haven't been bad (or wait another week as it could be TOTM!)

Hi everyone , weighed myself and sts :(
so not very happy about that.
It seems that on phase 2 I am not loosing weight,
I have read the book and she says this can indicate a wheat intolerance which makes me hold onto water.

So I have to make sure I have no wheat and apparently within 4 weeks my weight sould shift.

but I have been a good girl :A.

Hey Mirry - don't be down about this, if its any consolation exactly the same thing happened to me on week 2 and I can remember gaping at my scales in disbelief as I'd been following the diet to the letter. It may just be that your body is adjusting to the new regime. Thing to do is not lose heart and keep going especially as you are being so creative in the kitchen! A steady 1-2lbs loss per week in healthy and sustainable. So did you measure yourself before you started? I've been steadily losing inches off my vital statistics but then I'm doing more exercise than I was this time last year. Not this week tho', haven't been able to get out much apart from aqua-aerobics on Sunday. I sneaked a peek at the scales this morning and unless something drastic happens between now & tomorrow morning looks like I'll be posting an STS too! :o

Thanks Hezza , it has got me down a bit I must admit. Tonight I couldnt face another meat & veg meal , so had porridge and a orange. :o.

I have to go to hospital on friday and they are testing me for cortisol , cos of my failing blood pressure. And apparently another symptom is not being able to handle sugar . No I havent measured myself , have you lost much inch wise ? Its a good idea I think ........

goes to find a large tape measure :rotfl:.

Marion, you are welcome back here anytime:j.
kpc - hopefully you are doggy blissed up as I write:D ROFL at your sample police statement. But good advice to refer too A and B.

Mirry - sounds like you should patiently keep going and review your progress after a month, so try not to be disheartened. As you had such a big reaction to the choc, (i.e you have reaction to food you were not previously aware of) and you have a coeliac family history, it sounds worth eliminating the wheat for a bit and seeing what happens. I imagine the book talks about ensuring you get vital b vits etc from elsewhere?

I don't believe 90% of the pop have wheat intolerance - just stop eating bread will mean someone will lose weight, BUT, this doesn't mean that you don't have that problem, as the plan has made a lot of sense to you and your body so far. It seems to me this diet overall encourages very healthy eating and sometimes a fresh approach is what we as individuals need to motivate us to change and eat better.

Went back to work today after a 11 day break. Keeled over in bed after til 7.30 and just had dinner.
Got a brilliant bumper slow cooker book at a charity shop yesterday and looking forward to trying out new recipes in that.

Granny - I'd love to do decluttering as a new career, but not sure though I have the energy to rugby tackle you, handcuff you to a bedpost and then remove 90% of the contents from your house and burn in the garden before you knaw you way to freedom and run wailing round your garden like abanshee beating me with a burning crocheted loo roll holder.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

BB - that description was so vivid, I'm convinced you're recounting a previous experience! I remember my grandma having one of those crocheted loo roll cover dolls, and taking a sneaky peek at her boobies under the 'dress'. I was only about 4 or 5, but was totally fascinated by this dolly having big boobies.

Mirry - don't lose heart. Hezza had exactly the same issue, felt the same, and then stuck with the plan, and it eventually kicked in again. I believe all weight loss tends to find a plateau every now and again. You've had fab loss until now, so bear with it.

Marion - it would be so lovely to have you back here again; we've missed you! I hope your knees feel much better soon. Having had cortisone injections in my wrists in the past, I know how uncomfortable it can be.

KPC - how are you now you've become a doggy mummy?

Victory - I can only echo the advice given by others here. Stick to the facts, if you have to give any account of what has been going on in your workplace. Be matter of fact, and impartial. I see it as the only way forward. Your supervisor may well be trying to force the removal of your boss, but using you to further her tactics is wrong, and not a positive way forward for your work.

I have to admit I'm dreading the scales tomorrow morning. Whilst I've not been dreadful foodwise, I have been taking my eye off the ball with portion sizes, and calorie counting. I was sensible on my lunch out with my sisters at the weekend, having a ham ploughmans, which was nearly all salad. I've been too preoccupied with frugalising, than calorie saving. Will try to regain focus again for the coming week.

Think slim everyone, good luck with the weigh ins!

3.2 loss for this week :( below my weekly target if I am to hit my yearly target :(

I did a huge amount of physical activity on Sunday including a lot of heavy lifting, my calf's went rock solid and made walking difficult (odd since i use a treadmill) I wonder if muscle damage causes fluid retention?

lost 1.6kg this week which i'm over the moon with!! all the walking must be starting to work!

BB that image was so vivid, I'll be chuckling to myself over it all day.

Alfie is settling in nicely - we took him to pets at home to choose a toy, then came home and went on a looong walk. Whilst I was in the bath he got himself all curled up on ohs pillow and slept on the bed with me till oh came home from the pub quiz. Then he switched the sheepskin rug next to the bed and not a peep was heard all night. I'm so lucky to have got him! Must admit I shed a few tears on behalf of my friend - he texted me to ask how he was and said that he'd filled up at the empty space where the bed was in his house.
