Hi everyone , weighed myself and sts
so not very happy about that.
It seems that on phase 2 I am not loosing weight,
I have read the book and she says this can indicate a wheat intolerance which makes me hold onto water.
So I have to make sure I have no wheat and apparently within 4 weeks my weight sould shift.
but I have been a good girl :A.
would be rare to only get one symptom if your intolerant of wheat, most get the fatigue / bloating
Some useful info here and suggestions on how to do an elimination diet

vic, have i ever said how much I like your avatar? I think it's so sweet!
today!! it's today!!! why is it not 1700?
Alfie's current daddy is staying in work till he knows it's done. Probably just as well as I would have cried buckets if he'd been there. I feel so awful for him!0 -
oh yeah, forgot to say, Victory I worked at mcdonalds in leeds station and spent practically every sat night giving witness statements to the police. Not quite the same i know, but i was always advised to refer to the combatants as person A and person B to help distance yourself and be impartial. Maybe that may help you?
one of my typical statements would read "person a said to person b 'are you looking at my bird?' person c said ' i wouldn't touch her with yours mate she's rank,' at which point person d(female) hit person a with a chair."0 -
thanks Eric , that article is really interesting because a few people in my family have celiacs disease, so maybe there is a connection. when I first had wheat on phase 2 , my stomach did bloat terrible. So I feel this maybe the case for me. She mentions in the book 90% of people have a wheat intolerance:eek:.Kindness costs nothing0

id be very sceptical of 90% with out seeing hard third party data
go see a doctor and get tested. make sure you let them know there's a history of it.0 -
Hola
I've actually had time to read all the posts and it sounds like everyone is doing well - I'm intrigued by the Harcombe diet, I must find out more about it.
Marion - great to see you, how're you doing?
Back tomorrow with this week's result.
LL
Not doing bad thanks LL, slipped up for a while before Christmas and put on over a stone but managed to pull myself back from the brink before it went all the way over, been really good since the beginning of this year.,
Have had a couple of times in hospital for "stuff" and had cortisone injections in both knees this morning, hoping I will be able to walk again in a couple of days time as it as been too painful to move around much.:( Bring on the warm weather - please!!!!
I have been thinking of going back on the chart here - I wonder if there is any record of me still? If there is I can pm you my exact weight and I can update weekly again. I have missed you guys!
Love
Marion:)When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
Victory - I would certainly agree with KPC on this,. It isn't a matter of taking sides and who ever is coming down to interview the staff should not even ask the question of whose fault it was. All they really want to know is "what happened" and "what did you hear/see" They probably would not even ask you who you thought was at fault - and if they do ask - just tell them you have no opinion on the matter!

of the Harcombe book stop counting calories & start loosing weight.
QUOTE:
I would estimate that over 90% of the case studies that I have worked with have wheat intolerance and the weight loss , when they have given up wheat confirms this has been the problem.
seems high doesnt it ?Kindness costs nothing0 -

90% of the small amount of people she has worked with not 90% of the population0 -
All too often we can get carried away with this that and the other. It reminds me of the ladies at age concern, if you say chocolate its like OH MY GOD NO WAY I CANT HAVE CHOCOLATE IM DIABETIC, almost like they have the worst peanut allergy and even saying the word could actually kill them. It does make me chuckle!
This haircomb diet sounds a bit weird to me. A bit like the save me jesus types from america.0
