Mazza that first picture isn't the same person! It's your granny or your aunty. You've lsot about 40 years as well as the weight. :T :T :T

ROFL Granny, dunno whether to take that as a compliment or an insult, I haven't hit the big 4 oh yet, never mind lost it :rotfl: In all fairness the first pic was xmas morning, in middle of preparing dinner, no make up on and being a lazy cow :D

The diet starts again tomorrow morning, off to Tesco for my supply of apples... here we go again :D

  • Hi Fredsnail well done on the new thread, can I join please? (kinda barged my way in on the old one without asking :o).

I'm on the Harcombe Diet (www.theharcombediet.com) which is basically food combining by any other name, i.e. not mixing carbs with fats in the same meal and not eating anything processed or with added sugar. I have lost 9 pounds over 6 weeks but that may also be because I'm getting in some regular exercise too. Whatever the difference is, it's working, that's the main thing!!

.....anyways, went to the gym yesterday, as I mentioned I changed gyms in the last couple of weeks, its a smaller one, but I can walk there in two minutes and it has the equipment I need, I also save £22 a month on fees, so it cant all be bad.

    Thanks for the welcome backs.......

Yes the shoulder didn't really sort things, its not the main reason for retiring from rugby, but it was a contributing factor.

The job is ok, too a pay cut as well. But I am earning and not on the streets :-) I am a product manager for an IT company now, so if you want a copy of an anti virus for free :) Only took loads of applications, 26 interviews for 16 different jobs, got to final stage 5 times! But the role would be pulled! Problem is less time on my hands so I wont be around as much, but with this last bit of the gain to loss I thought I should look up my old chums ;) I lost a bit of heart with the blogging nature of the thread last time. Hopefully I will enjoy it again now.

  • i think i know what suggs meant - there was a time when it all got a bit 'and then i did this and then i did that.. . . ' the thread got a lot less interactive, we were all just posting about what we were doing personally, rather than talking to each other. It's not that way now though, we all seemto have a good balance of talking about each others achievements and talking points and stuff.

where can i get a pink neon martini please? they sound lush!

First of all welcome back Suggs!

My resolve is working so far today. Although I am looking at this apple and thinking "ewwwwwwwwwwww" I want crisps instead!!!! Although I have had a couple of jelly sweets left over from halloween to suck on:o

Still think my biggest problem will be the weekend when the beer starts flowing :D
