Could it be that ten (yes ten!) meals out in the last week have caught up with me?

    5lb gain please Fred.

Sadly will be away from home for Thursday and Friday so will be eating out again .... I've got a packed lucnh for tomorrow so reasonably healthy but then it will be downhil all the way ...... but it will be fun.

eat curry, go for a tandori mixed grill with pilau rice, avoid the sauces, its pretty healthy
  • Knew it wouldn't be hapy news on the scales this mornng +1LB for me.

Been feeling generally low all week, and cold & tired all day yesterday so I picked on cookies and crisps then had a big pasta lunch, followed by a big curry for dinner then pancakes with the kids, so I'm not really surprised at gaining. Mood wasn't helped by finally finding out today that I didn't get that job that I really wanted, having been kept waiting 6 weeks since my final interview, delay being blamed on a "breakdown in communications" between the company and the recruiter. :( I've been trying to tell myself to forget it and move on but I cant help dwelling on how shabbily I've been treated and they wouldnt have been very good to work for, but OMG I did want that job so badly.

Mustn't start using food as a crutch .....

Eric, I'm glad you're familiar with Charlie. He's my pal on facebook now too, and I've listened to his radio show online. He still suffers with his depression demons, but he still won't allow himself to go back to the trough. I try to remember him and his willpower when I'm feeling weak, and sorry for myself.

Ah, so you go for the Linda La Hughes type huh? She has the same body dysmorphic problem I have; we look in the mirror and see a fat person! It's tough being gorgeous though, and you have so many haters. :D

rosie - step away from the pancakes!

Granny - I like your style!

BB - I hope you're feeling OK. Sounds like you're super busy again.
