    Welcome Van and Tedster,

Tedster, have you considered having chicken, or even a meat substitute such as Quorn instead of fish? I regularly have this, as it's so low in fat and calories. What about getting your protein through other foods, adding beans and nuts, or cottage cheese into your meals, so you aren't so dependent upon the fish for it? Are you keeping a food diary, or couting the amount of calories you are consuming each day? I find that really helps maintain loss.

For all of you Old Jamaican lovers out there... and there are clearly a few, I found it in Sainsburys, and it was on the top shelf, so clearly chocolate !!!!!!! It says on the packet that it's 'new'! Hah! It's in a purple coloured wrapper, rather than the old orange coloured one.

I now have a fully erected greenhouse! My BF is already planning building me a workbench for inside it. I have lots of plans for what to grow in it now. Very excited. We spent all yesterday outside doing it, and this morning too.

I've tried to keep foods reasonable, but it was Valentines weekend wasn't it? After seeing my valentines message jetwashed into the driveway concrete, I had to cook BF his favourite dinner, didn't I? We had chicken caesar salad, followed by rhubarb crumble & custard. I had a reasonable portion, BF had 3/4 of the crumble! He did enjoy it, and is off up the gym at the mo burning it all off. He can easily have a blowout day like that, and even lose weight, as his eating routine is usually very controlled, and healthy.

Missy, I plan to stock up on any thermal gear I can find when the sales of winter gear start. I've even been eyeing up snow chains for my boots! I do now have some thermal leggings, and have a new thinsulate hat and gloves, and plenty of scarves, so I am getting there. Now the lighter evenings are starting - yes, it's gone 5pm and the streetlights still aren't on - hurrah!

Right, off to conjure up a healthy tea now.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home
  • thanks for the welcome :) just googled old jamaican -mmm :) - been off chocolate for 6 weeks as well

I have mostly fish occassionally chicken - figured fish healthiest - didnt do that much research before started.

actually love cottage cheese(not many people say that) will give it a go - so you think go veggie for a couple of meals

think roughly having 1500 calories a day - will try and count more accurately.

Quorn type stuf is low fat and low cals, also turkey and if you want a red meat fix try venison. If you go for ready made veggie meals watch out for the fat as a lot of them contain cheese.

Managed to persuade myself to go to the gym, got all me gear on and nearly talked myself out of it but 2miles later I feel much better (like I knew I would), off to investigate tonight's dinner options

Well dinner wasn't as bad as I'd feared grilled salmon and veg (and roast parsnips!), did get a funny look from the chef when I stopped him ladling the lemon butter onto my salmon. Tasted lovely though now off to eat cherrie and read essays for tomorrow

  • morning all! glad you all seemed to have nice weekends. I wasn't able to take my gym kit to the hotel - not enough space to take it. Didn't snack, but meals were big. However, after 3 days of eating stuff that I'm not used to my body rebelled so it's possible that the last day doesn't count! Weekend went well, it's booked for next year and I have now talked oh into 'yes you can have a poodle . . but not yet'. result!!
  • Hi everyone!

I've been in mse for a few months but didn't realise this thread existed! I'm so glad it does as I really could do with some help....

After I had my first child in 2006 I joined sw and lost 5 stone 4 to get to my target of 9 stone 3 and a happy size 10. I guess I never really followed sw properly, I'd go for days living on nothing but black coffee and hardly ever touched a carb.
I had my daughter in September and again found myself with 5 stone to lose. I'm struggling so bad and have only managed to lose just over a stone.
I keep trying different things, sticking to 1200 cals, celebrity slim but I can't seem to keep anything going!
Anyone got any advice for me? I really want to be back on my size 10s by October for my 30th and at this rate it's not going to happen!

    (sorry for long post)
If my words are missing letters then please excuse me....my keyboard is a tad dodgy!!
