Blimey FFM it's dropping off you! Get some pies down you this week for goodness sake! :p;) Good to hear you're still enjoying the horse riding :).

    Ha ha :rotfl:

You must have read my mind :D Had pie and chips Friday night from the chippie and then Steak pie and mash Saturday night. Had chips today at the Monty Roberts tour/display 'cos it was sooooo cold.

Just wait for next Saturday's weigh in.

Loving the riding, not that I am improving much - except for my now rather toned legs :rotfl:. My horse is very patient with my lack of ability, she is a diamond.

Good to see you're still zooming about the place by one form of transport or another :D Any plans for half term?

We're off to Buckmore Park on Tuesday - with our Tesco Clubcard vouchers - a late B'day party for my DS.

    FFM :)

looks like the usual snake oil fad diet

I lol @ anything that says avoid carbs since biologically we ate mostly carbs whilst we where vegetarian grazers for millions of years until we became hunter gathers (and that was not that long ago about 150k years, and our biology didn't change that much) and eventually farmers.

And we know why we get fat now and since it cant be down to carbs (bread and pasta may be a separate issue with gluetin, bread also has the problem of the half inch of butter and inch of cheese that you put on it :) ) its is mostly likely down to a genetic disposition to store spare food for days when there's nothing to eat and the fact we live in an environment where's there literally billions of calories on offer every time you go into a garage, supermarket etc its very hard to get a day when you don't over eat, especially with today's very energy dense foods (high calorie per 100g) which again is not something you naturally come across often.

A lot of her premis seams to be based on the year long starvation diet where someone has over dieted and forced there metabolism to shut down. But we know this happens which why its recommended to eat 5-6 small meals (as a grazing animal wood) a day and mostly lower calorie food but alot of it (keep the body working). Its also important not to have a fixed routine with different amounts of cals on different meals and different amounts on different days to keep your body working at different rates to help it stop going into starvation mode.

Of course I could have misunderstood it, found it very hard to find any actual facts from the website as its mostly self promoting with no substance.

One thing I will bring her up on, eating prebiotic foods are more effective than eating probiotic bacteria, again hard to follow it even on her forums as every answer seams to be GO BUY MY BOOK :)

well last week was a lost cause, but then i knew it would be since I was at home all week and boredom/grazing was always going to be an issue, and I had a curry on wed, went to a harvester on fri and had a huge roast dinner on sunday

oh well back to the fight this week :T
  • Carbs aren't they enemy, as long as you have a balanced diet! I'm a personal trainer, so if anyone wants any advice =) As i'm also dieting, to shift the weight i've managed to put on! =)

oh skint one i could put u to good use :D I just don't have the energy or motivation to do more! After all the walking at work, I just wanna collapse. Then when I'm stuck in the office like I have been the past 2 weeks, I am so tired with boredom and snide customers wearing me down that I just come home and go to sleep.

Although, I have been enjoying the aqua aerobics, but again it seems to be working the top and bottom half and nothing in the middle where I need it most :D
