:hello:Well done on losing 3 stone and look at it this way - You've done it before so you know you can do it. Goodluck.0 -
I don't believe I'm writing this. I've just hit 40. I'm 6'1" and weigh in at 20 Stone exactly. I just signed up online to https://www.everydayhealth.com I'm not sure if others have heard of it. They offer a free diary section which caluclates all your food etc for you. If they don't have your food on there (it is US based), you can add you own. Also calculates BMI and deducts for exercise.
Anyway Day 1 - 20 Stone Target Weight 14 Stone

Welcome newbies.
Skint at 19. I am in same boat as u. Although not skint at 19, if only I was 19I would be :j:j:j but anyhoo, I lost 4 stones and managed to put one back on, yes yes, i really should change my sig.
Stebiz, First step is always the hardest, Good Luck on your journey.
Well I've been covering paternity leave at work, so been stuck indoors for the past 2 weeks. Only walking about 45 minutes a day, so haven't been getting much exercise at work. But I have had a little bit of exercise with the aqua aerobics, at least I think I have, if u count me and my sis laffin at our boobs bouncing :rotfl:Been a total pig this week, hate being stuck indoors, unfortunately there's only a couple of us can do that job. So muggins gets landed with it. Hopefully be back to my normal duty next week and see some big loss!! (that's the plan anyhoo:D)4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Sary and Victory - It's funny I'm the opposite. OH was away overnight last night with his work and I was so organised. I had my dinner and a coffee then nothing else till this morning. I got up and made my breakfast and a healthy packed lunch. It's official - he's a bad influence on me
. Better not tell him though incase he thinks I'm wanting rid of him.
I agree.......OH definately a bad influence. My DH has been working away all week and I managed 5lbs loss and SOTW, he's just walked in the door and stated "take away pizza for tea"
Still what I put on this weekend, not forgetting Valentines Day meal out planned for Saturday as well, I can lose (hopefully) while he is away again this coming week.
Have to agree PepPop I need to be careful too as when he told me his work away was extended for another week he took alot of convincing that I was pleased due to it being easier staying on track with diet without him here rather than wanting to get rid of him for any other reason!!!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Debt Free Wannabe!!!

Welcome skint-at-19 and Stebiz
We all have to start somewhere, and here's a good place to start. There is a weekly chart for those who like to post their results (losses, gains or STS's[= stay the same]), and Fredsnail is our current compiler, so just ensure if you want to be included, you post your results in bold bright colours, if possible, before Wednesday evening.
stebiz, I also find that using a daily food log helps, and I use foodfocus.com because it's UK friendly, with UK products and plenty of s/market own-brands, plus a recipe calorie compiler. Any kind of 'tool' you can use to help keep you on track, and help plan is a godsend I find.
skint, I'm like you, where I lost a couple of stone and have gained more than half of it again. I've struggled to get myself motivated since the beginning of the year, but this week I have decided I am just going to get myself back into the right frame of mind, and hope that I get back 'in the groove' of weightloss. I just need to stay on track, and up my exercise levels to have a positive result. I just need to keep reminding me of that.
Victory - I caught myself doing it again today! OH had just left for the gym and I was immediately thinking 'hmm, what can I have to eat?'! I am so amazed at how it's become an instant trigger for eating! Anyway, I am resisting and overcoming the urge.
My Day 2 is going well, and despite feeling a bit peckish now, I have the evening meal planned, in fact cooking, already. Beef stew tonight, with lots of veggies. I am keeping my starchy, refined carbs lower, as I think they just make me crave eating more carbs and sugar. As Victory, and plenty of other's here do, I am going to start planning entire day's meals, and introduce some tasty treats, like scrambled egg for lunch, instead of only thinking of a sandwich. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Also a warm welcome to skint-at-19 and Stebiz. There is lots of support on here, so if you have any questions, you feeling down or up, keep posting and someone is bound to encourage you!
The weekend is at hand, and I KNOW this is the time that I lose control, so I am going to put some things in place to ensure that I do not eat the whole of the house. I will PLAN PLAN PLAN and not deviate from it, as it WILL be sufficient and I will break my day up with different activities so that my mind goes off food, so may take a long walk, visit family (and not eat from them...lol) or do some clothes shopping for my holiday (in a smaller size) and I will attempt to make pancakes- so that I would have perfected by pancake day- don't worry I won't eat all the rejects. I can't believe I have never made them before, when I was at uni my best m8 used to always make them and I would just eat them, so hopefully it won't be that hard!
I hope we all have a good weekend, no man for me so I don't gotta worry about the valentine's meal, but to those going out, have a little treat we can't deprive ourselves always, but be sensible
Take care
