    Hola

Good to see so many people reporting in with their results, even if they're gains instead of losses - the great thing is that we're all making the effort and as long as we continue doing that we'll have good results in the long run.

We've both lost weight this week - Superman lost 2.5 lbs and I've lost 1 lb - and we're working hard at doing more exercise too. We went to the gym this morning and I spent 25 minutes on the bike then went in the pool and swam half a mile, I was well impressed with myself! I was getting tired when I'd got to 700 yards, but then OH said if I did 5 more lengths it would be half a mile so I pushed myself to carry on a bit further.

We go out to the club most evenings and we've been walking there and back and trying to keep up a brisk pace - it takes less than 15 minutes, but I figure every little helps. We're feeling the benefits too.

Good luck everyone, I'll pop in again later in the week to see the chart.

I use flora extra light, used to use can't believe it is not butter and utterly butterly but fel has a lot less calories and saves dry bread, I never have it in sandwiches but do on toast:D

Tried alpro soya milk today, there is an acquired taste, to me it felt like I had made a mistake and was drinking double cream as so used to skimmed milk but bought it now so will drink it, I know my mum is a huge fan, eats all the soya stuff including ice cream will perserve...:D

  • Forgot to weigh myself this morning so will report a STS this week.

Fred - can you zero me on the chart please as I started again on Jan 1 but I can't remember if I told you, and this is the first weigh-in (or not) that I've posted. Thanks - and happy belated birthday!! :bdaycake:

Well I have my gym induction booked for 5pm today and also today I've signed up for the Swimathon in April (with DD), so I'm planning for my exercise sessions to increase; I will ask the instructor at the gym to give me an anaerobic routine as I've been told that this is good training for swimmers i.e. you get your lungs to work harder or something like that?? I've set myself a target of 2.5k for the Swimathin which is 100 lengths of the pool, at the moment it would take me about 1 and a quarter hours so I want to get it down to under an hour.

Well done to all the losers this week - some new year resolutions obviously having an impact!!:D

Pep How are you finding the Couch to 5k programme? Suggested it to my sister as she said she wanted to get fit and as she's a student running and walking would be cheap but so far she has just paid it lip service!
