    -1.5 lbs for me

Totally expected a gain this week. TOTM and being a pure piggy. Did have a bit of a tummy bug on sunday tho, so maybe that's helped even things out.

Sary m'dear you were right as usual

Morning all. 2.6lb loss for me this week, sadly I doubt it will continue into next week as its my dads 50th and my 25th in the next few days, so lots of cake will be flying about, and while I will try to be sensible, my birthday is one day I'm not going to completely deny myself.

Well done on all the losses and sts...its fantastic.

kpc- as you said you are eating better now so it should pay off next week
Missy/BB- I will plan to eat at a better time next week...or maybe I will have a late big lunch and a small snack at about 5.30 to keep me going till after when I can have something light.
mazza- I am happy that everything went relatively smoothly and you didn't give in!

I really think that planning what I am going to eat for the whole week is the best thing I can do, so I will start to think of what I will cook for the rest of the week, so that I can not be caught unawares!

Ooh and welcome GemJar, check the info on page 1 of the thread, re: weigh ins, it has to be done by Wednesday and fredsnail compiles the chart at the moment- happy belated bday fredsnail!!

    Have a great day all

Well done all you losers/STSs, and if you've gained like me, commiserations. Gained +1lb this week. I was expecting more, as it's TOTM for me too, so I will accept that. It's a couple of days early, and I was craving chocolate so badly yesterday that I should have realised it was imminent. I have to admit to succumbing to a Twix bar. It was scrummy tho, so I guess that's what counts, if you're going to indulge.

Unlucky - stick with it, and every bit of effort you do put in, will have a positive result. Even if it means you gain less! Why not try just 1 or 2 different things to try this week to help yourself, such as use a smaller plate to keep your portions smaller, or introduce a curfew so that you don't eat after a certain time (mine is 6.30pm). You never know, it may mean you just needed some baby steps to get into the swing of things?

Peppop - my back is much better, just a little bit tender where the muscle must have been inflamed and gone into spasm. I kept it very warm, OH massaged it for me, and I slept in a comfortable position, which all seemed to help. I think quite a few of us are struggling to keep momentum with our WL this year. I wanted to avoid the scales today, but thought the same as you, I can't avoid it and stay in denial.

BB - how are you feeling now? Has your medication settled down so that you are in less pain now? I agree, to the familiar ring in other's comments. It isn't easy is it? I'm certainly finding it hard to find, or retain focus, which is essential I find. I make so many promises to myself as I lie in bed before I go to sleep, about how tomorrow I'll be better.... by the morning of course, I'm starving!

Vix - Don't worry about your bum. That cross trainer will give years of pertness yet. I found going to the gym really helped lift mine. I just wish I could still afford the membership, as I'll be needing a trailer behind me for it again soon.

Mazza - Glad the funeral went off OK. You did well to avoid the alcohol, so a sausage roll is certainly allowed. See, what did your aunty Sary tell you? I always find a tummy bug to be the best kick-start to a diet. Hardcore and unpleasant maybe, but effective all the same.

Victory - well done on the loss. Good to see someone else staying focussed despite having other negative stuff going on around you. Your work situation sounds a bit iffy I have to say. It would be useful for you to have a copy of your Contract. If you cannot find it, then ring the HR dept. to ask for a copy to be posted to you (bypassing asking your boss). You need to know if your wording reads differently to the other Assistants, as to whether you can choose not to do the extra work/qualification. I would say that if you applied for a position as Sales Assistant, then to be a Dispenser puts you into a completely different position. Would that mean the SA job is being made redundant? To be a Dispenser would put you on a different job grade, and therefore in a different salary band. I would be asking to speak to a Personnel Officer for your area at H.O. if I were you to clarify your position. If none of this was mentioned at your interview, or during your training period, then I would say that it is not within Employment Law to do it, without asking you to apply for the new role. I used to work within HR many years ago, but when promoted, I was asked if I wanted to be considered for the role.

Missy - out of interest, how do you break down your meals into 6? Is that limiting each meal to 300cals or less? What does that allow you to eat at each meal? Very interesting stuff. My OH does something similar with his bodybuilding regime. He has just introduced a new supplement, and is impressed at the improvement in his strength, despite reducing his protein supplement. Your exercise plan looks to be coming along nicely.

Started the day with porridge today, so the plan is to stay on track, and maintain focus. Have a good day all. :D
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home
  • HAHA another sts for me this week. As I thought, I did gain last week, but lost it this week so it's evened out I guess.
I'm happy with that, considering I had a macdonalds brekkie the other day :o

I'm now aiming to lose at least another stone before my summer holidays. So that gives me 17 weeks to lose it. Totally doable. 1lb a week. I'll even weigh myself in the morning I go :rotfl:
I think I'll update my sig with that goal :D

Fred can you zero me off for next weeks weigh in then please? I'll start fresh so I don't confuse myself!

Congrats to all losers this week. Well done and keep it up. :T

Fantastic losses coming in folks! Well done! :j:j:j

Sary I've raked up one of my old posts which gives some details of my 6-meals plan

My 5-meal plan is very similar, but 1700 calories split into 2.5 hour segments instead :) Ideal for when I need to lose a little bit (like now!) :)

This sort of approach obviously wouldn't work for those who like substantial meals, but could be worth a try for anyone who's a bit of a grazer like me.
