last week i managed 103km cycling & 27km running, plus swimming & diving :d. I'm pleased with how the exercise is going

this week has started better, did a long cycle (51km off road) yesterday, and back under my calorie allowance!

    Unlucky T :hello:
Sary - hope your back is better today

Victory - your job is beginning to sound a bit of a nightmare. I used to have a boss like that who coasted along taking credit for everyone else's work (especially mine) but his karma came back and bit him in the bum big time when he was fired 4 months after I left when HIS boss realised what was really going on. I went to a better job but I agree with you totally - why should you leave your job. (Constructive dismissal?). don't forget to put in your notes that each time you were told off was for the initial mistake and not further ones.

Emzi - hugs to you - like BB said depression is an illness and should be treated as such. Very unfair for you

mazza - hope it went as well as it could today. Hugs to you.

alliwant - glad you're feeling better after seeing your mum. Hugs to you both.

I have decided that the only way I'm going to get back on track is to weigh myself tomorrow and to put down loss / gain and what I weigh:eek:. I'm hoping its not gonna be too bad. we had family visiting at the weekend so between eating out 2 nights and 1 day and bottles of wine i need a serious kick up the backside. Going to the gym tonight with my shiny new routine, counting my WW points and weigh in tomorrow. (help:eek:)

ohh i seem to have fallen before i started and been a pig with my food.
plus my scales seem to have added half a stone to me (now 16 stone) and my back seems to have agreed.
so much for my good intentions and trying to be sensible with my money and buying in healthy food.
tomorows another day and thursday payday so wish me luck for getting back on the bandwagon.
i really need to save (to have money behind me plus i want desperatly to go to australia and new zealand but generally havent a clue) but am also lookin into changing jobs plus am so desperate to lose weight.
  • victory - what everyone else said. I think you are being treated appallingly but good on you for writing everything down, that may help with the stress if nothing else. First things first you do need to find your contract, and if as you suspect you are being put under undue pressure (for all sorts of reasons) then you have a good case for raising a grievance.

Funeral went well. When asked what I wanted to drink I said coffee plz, so proud of myself :o Managed to get my mum to first part of service, home, then managed to get to crematorium on time. Mum just didn't feel up to much more, bless her, then she was disappointed that she was too poorly to go to all the service, but as long as I was there representing her, it's all good.

Can't say the same for the food, was a plate of scotch pies and sausage rolls put on each table along with a plateful of cream cakes. Was starving so gave into a sausage roll.
    4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j
  • Mazza - well done: just a sausage roll & no booze sounds a great achievement, especially as it was a sad occasion. Doesn't sound like any difficulties with family happened.
kpc -well done on damage limitation
unlucky - 'been a pig with my food' has a familiar ring to it :D
QT - can you plan better for food next weekk before the trining session. It is probably always going to take an effort to go isn't it. Yet I do read of great betterfits to over all helm, well being and sense of achievement from poele who do this sort of training. Of course never done it myself:D
    Well done on 2lb loss:T

Fred - 'an appalling week foodwise' also has a familiar ring to it:o
alliwant - sounds wonderful motivation. My cousin had always been very overweight, and then saw his dad need a triple bypass: lost the weight and took up running and if half the man he was and has kept ift off dfor several yrs now, so this sort of motivation really can have long lasting effects:T
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Congrats on the loss QT! Definitely the right choice not to do that sort of intense exercise soon after a meal! Hopefully there's a way around that for future weeks, is there?

I've changed my eating plan for the time being, instead of 6 small 'meals' a day, I've gone down to 5. I find the allowance per meal a bit too small when I'm on reduced calories. I can make more of each meal now even though I have to wait a little longer in between ;) Going back to 6 as soon as the extra kg body fat has gone though!

15kms hilly trail run today, the rest of the week will be easier exercise-wise.
