My OH told me about two deaths last week, his colleagues wife at work fell down the stairs, rushed to hospital, unbeknown to her or anyone was riddled with cancer and died 4 hours later, last thursday his other colleague same age as OH walked into a room collapsed and died instantly from a heart attack:rolleyes: then last week a friend who fought in afghanistan died from a bomb explosion and is having full military honour funeral this week, now OH tells me I need to make a will because all his colleagues bank accounts and assets have been frozen because his wife did not have one and they need time to investigate.....

Boots do pens for under the eyes around £4/£5, touch e'clait is the best but £20 odd ,many foundations are cheaper than that, I also use the roll on especially made to get rid of bags under the eyes that is always on sale 1/2 price.

vix anyone ever said you can share too much?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Victory - your husband is absolutely right. When my husband died everything we had jointly could only be sorted out once I had gone through the paperwork formalities. His sole accounts were frozen, and I was grateful that I had my own sole account to fall back on. My friend's father was elderly, so I hope they had their affairs in order, but it's amazing how many people just put it off all the time. Unless we get a bad diagnosis it's unlikely some of us ever will, but none of us know what fate has in store for us. Have a look here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=344578 for some really useful advice. It's recommended that you have all your important information held in one place, or even just a list of where everything is kept somewhere secure (there are even remote online places it can be kept). Lots of ideas on that thread, and stories of how other people have coped with and without preparation.

Toast this morning for me, as everyone else had all the milk, which always has a negative trigger for the rest of the day for me having to make do with carbs alone. Off to the supermarket to restock soon.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Thanks sary was told that WHSMITH have a will package that does not have to be solicitor witnessed for less than £10 going into town tomorrow so will look at it, have been on directgov and seen the previous thread, if I remember correctly I put a lot of posts up or the original, such a common thing to happen but everyone seems to think it won't happen to them:rolleyes:

My condolences mazza, and sorry to hear about all the other deaths. I hope that you can all remain strong at this time.

    I lost 2lb this week...well 1.1kg- so I think that is about 2lb.

I know it is not much, but I am very happy with that for the first week. The british military fitness thing that I attended last night was torture I almost didn't go, but I am soo happy I did, at least I felt like I was doing exercise, it was very hard, but achievable, they divide you into groups, so as I beginner I got it easier than the experienced ones, it consisted of sprinting, jogging, sit ups, push ups and something called burlops?? and only a short water break in the whole hour...I have now signed up for the two week free trial and will see how it goes!

    Have a good day ;)

  • Hi All,

Sorry to hear everyone's news :(

I havent been around on this thread much recently - due to xmas, new year & lots of snow(!!) my regular weight watchers meetings have been cancelled for a month now! I've found another local meeting which has somehow managed to stay open so I've been to their last couple & can report in -2.5lbs for me this week! :j

Very pleased considering I still had a cheeky chinese last week :rotfl:
    2019 will be my year!!

FFM - great result there for 5 days on & 2 days off! ;):j

QT2006 2lb is loads! What do you mean "it's not much"?!!! Those fitness classes sound like really hard work, I don't think I'd be much good at them (I don't do 'high intensity' very well :o). Are burlops anything like burpees? Anyway well done you for attending and signing up for more !

Congrats Kayleighpea on your excellent loss! :D

A good start to the week here, 31km cycling yesterday & 20km run today. Stuck to calorie allowance, really hope I lose a bit this month :)

    Good luck as always everyone!

I have just made the kids Jamie Olivers american pancakes, crumbs they were crowded round me like pecking birds, like they had never been fed before, needless to say they are all gone, thoroughly enjoyed:D I never had any, pancake day is the 16th feb so a long way off yet but they wanted some today so I made them and a dundee cake for OH and coconut cake for lunch boxes, apparently the youngest friend at school has put in an order for me to make him a coconut cake because he loves it so much and his mum never makes him cakes:rotfl::D
