mazza - I'm so sorry to hear your sad new. I think you can eat those crisps completely guilt-free. My very good friend called me this morning to tell me she found her dad dead this morning, so it does seem to be the time of year for it. He was a lovely man, and had just had his 82nd birthday a couple of weeks back. My friend has almost sole care of her elderly parents, altho' they live separate from her, but her mum was ill last week, so it looks like she's going to have lots to deal with from now on. I can only offer her practical help, and lend an ear when she needs it, but I do hope she asks for the help. She has been a marvellous friend to me over the years.
Victory - thank you for the recipe. It looks very similar to one I'd already found, so as you've tried it, I'll give it a go too. I'm going to check my store cupboard for spices to make sure I have the cumin, and will buy some chickpeas to make some. I may do them in portion sizes and freeze some too. They're ideal as a quick easy meal with a jacket spud I've found.
I've had my roadtrip today over to Warwickshire, and we stopped for a bacon buttie, and a cuppa, so it wasn't a bad lunch after all. Bolognese for dinner, so keeping things on track I hope will help. I'll be grateful for a STS this week to be honest. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Sorry to hear your news mazza.
Vixstar: what about a tinted moisturiser if you dont want anything too heavy? Or touch eclat that everyone and their mother loves!
Guess what happened at work today! A young man was queuing up with a load of women and he bought a pair of control knickers. I had my suspicions it was for him, and even more so when he looked at me with embarassement in his eyes. Anyway, later on this afternoon the pair of knickers he bought were stuffed down the side of the toilet.......STAINED with you know what! What a double ew!!!!!!!!!!! I cant get that image out of my head so i thought i'd tell you all!0 -
YSL do a highlighter pen thing that worked for me when I went to a wedding - it's expensive though (about £20??).
Another friend swears by body shop gel - it's a clear gel (elderflower or something?) and is cheaper but it takes several weeks to get to work.
Sorry to hear about your aunts mazza0 -

STS for me this week please.
I had stayed at about 1500 cals per day, but it all fell apart on Friday and Saturday. We had bacon sarnies at a site meeting (would have been rude to decline), followed by a late 'Christmas Do' Friday night (postponed due to snow), finishing with Pizza Go Go on Saturday - (to celebrate DS's science results).
So, quite happy with a STS

Vix - That was a bit of an expensive sherman tank for him, wasn't it? And control pants of all things! I bet he's a fan of the Bridget Jones films. They say it takes all sorts, don't they? Oh, and why didn't he just go home, do y'know what, and then wash them and save them for 'special moments'? He's obviously not on MSE.
^^ see how I kept that moneysaving? that takes talent! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Sorry to hear your news mazza - hope the funeral passes off without any family rows.
Vix that's gross. I'm so glad you shared it with us all.
Thanks for the recipe Victory. I've always bought ready made and your recipe sounds much healthier. Waitro$e have some with grated carrot in - I might try that as a variation when I've tried the standard version.0 -
