Morning:D I tried the fuller for longer from M&S advertised on the tele, will not try again because very expensive, should have been £4 but was £1 off even so very expensive, lovely the meatball spaghetti one they advertise was divine 400 cals lots of them had to put back high in sugars and fat so no use to me, got two or three of the ones I could have, really lovely but too high in bad things. Will stick with WW ones even the tesco and Morrisons and Sainsburys ones are high in fats and sugars:rolleyes:

  • Morning peeps, gloriously sunny day here so we are off to celbrate the sunshine and agood start to 2010 with a pub lunch using xmas money. We haven't been out like this for far too long so it feels a real treat.

I blame Victory etirely for the fact I now have hummous in my fridge and ditto who ever mentioned falafels: I have never had them before so now have a pkt mix in my larder, though I see they have to be fried so now sure how weight lossy they are but I am up for trying something differnt.

So granny, pinked is the new lilacked. Oh the fickled chasing after the new trends....
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Oh b^gger, I thought my bum had gone a bit flat cos of losing weight - now I realise it's just old age. Thanks a million, Vix!

PS You'll never be over Vix, not even with wrinkles, grey hair, artificial hips and a flat bum. You'll still have the Vix style!

Ha, it gets taken from the bum and gets put on the boob department i think! (so there is some hope for me yet)

What a lovely day it is today! I had one of those "life is really good" moments in the car, with the warm sun making it all warm and matty sat next to me. Blissful.

What we really should have done is gone for a walk, which was an intention but never quite happened. I need some wellies, the ground is so saturated my trainers would have been totaly mudded!

Yes spinach is high in iron, but I don't really fancy it so I think I will stick with brocolli and force myself to eat some meat!

I've frequently been low in iron, and I was given a tip that might help - avoid any drinks containing caffeine, half an hour before and half an hour after your meal, as apparently, caffeine prevents iron being absorbed. Liver is a good source of iron too, if you like it (I don't personally).

    Hola

Hope everyone's had a good weekend. We've just had a long leisurely lunch with friends in an Italian restaurant - quite funny really, as we're in Spain, we didn't know whether to say gracias or gracie! One of the waiters was Italian (and gorgeous :p ) and the other one was Serbian, but they both spoke Spanish. :rotfl:

I'm still not drinking alcohol, so had plenty of water, a salad to start with and then fish, but it did come with chips. I was very good though and didn't have dessert - the ones I fancied both had alcohol in them, so that made my mind up for me!

This week has been murder for both of us diet-wise as we've had several nights out including food, but hopefully we're going to have a good result when we get on the scales on Wednesday.

    Hi all.
Not doing so well right now, so ashamed of myself lol.
We ordered in pizza a couple of days ago and we got a free one which I forgot they gave after spending certain amount so I have had pizza every day since! Though theres only 1 slice left now lol. Ive been eating muffins too as I ordered them for work this week but the best before is today (:o) so couldnt help myself eating some!
Ive started a new job too and Im having to go from having breakfast at 5am until 12:30 - 1:30 for lunch and its really making me hungry so Im trying to eat more calories to keep me going a bit! I dont like when I get really hungry too as I seem to get such a cloudy head lol. Once Ive finished the goodies in the cupbaord I will go back to the start again. I was hoping to hit 2 stones in Feb but not sure that will happen with the way Im going at the minute!

I've also heard that if you drink orange juice when eating something high in iron it helps maximise the absorption of the iron.

Missy have to admit got the trainers and haven't run in them because of the shorter evenings :o but will do, could go on Sat. Actually make that should and hopefully I'll upgrade to will through the week. Am in the process of choosing some 10k races to sigh up to and now the snow's gone going to try a running plan I saw in a mag to double my distance in six weeks  And then all that remains is reminding myself that circuit training isn't that bad :rotfl:

    Quiet here this evening...

In the words of all good weight losers - tomorrow is day 1 (again). Going to try and stck to the veggie options in the canteen next week (except for when they're high in cheese) and see if that helps. Considering the food in our canteen it probably won't.
