Afternoon all, I hope you are all doing well.
I don't know if you have seen it (or if it has been discussed) but there are a load of gym deals on the MSE page- http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/cheap-gym-membership
I am particularly interested in the British Military Fitness who are offering 2 weeks free at the moment, there is one near me, so I might give it ago next week, its supposed to be like army training .
Anywhoo I went to see my nurse on Monday as I have been feeling reaaaaaaally tired lately, finding it almost impossible to wake up and get up my bed in the mornings, she did a blood test and it turns out that I have a really low iron count, the doctor said this explains why I have been feeling tired, so she said I need to eat high in iron foods, like red meat. But I dunno if it is good for me to be eating a lot of red meat as people are always saying its bad for you and it probably has a lot of fat, I usually eat red meat once a week if that- maybe beef, lamb or goat.
So my question is can I just eat loads of veg instead and keep eating red meat once or twice a week, or should I eat it alot more seeing as I have low iron
Thanks :j
Thats funny because ive been feeling really tired lately and i rarely eat red meat, only mince in a pasta once a week or so. Im not the biggest veggie eater too so my iron levels could be down too. Could you not eat some red meat now just to get your levels up and then decrease it a bit as you eat more veggies ect. Isnt spinach high in iron?
Army training fills me with dreadI bet that is absolutly hard as nails!!

Out of interest, what does it mean ' to be pinked'?
Well minxz, to be pinked means you have reached the very top of the !!!!!!/!!!!!! tree. Only the elite women make it and beanie has just recently hit that title
Or it also means that beanie has used a pink font like BB usues purple. I think the first answer is probably the more realistic out of the two!0 -
Are u a !!!!!! now vix? Nice answer :rotfl:4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

Well what fun I have just had joining food focus and trying to work out how many calories I have eaten today.
I am really wanting to take charge of my life this time, brought an exercise book to write down everything I eat as I eat it so I don't forget anything.
I was very proud of myself today as It was someone's birthday at work so they brought in some cakes, well I didn't even give them a second look and just walked out the staff room clutching my cup of water. No cake touched my lips :j
Went and brought tesco's fruit and veg dept on my way home too.
Going to do my wii fit step now
Victory- I have copied your advice from page 1 and have it in the front of my diary so whenever I feel I am failing I can read it and move on so a big thankyou :TRestarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed

Oh b^gger, I thought my bum had gone a bit flat cos of losing weight - now I realise it's just old age. Thanks a million, Vix!
PS You'll never be over Vix, not even with wrinkles, grey hair, artificial hips and a flat bum. You'll still have the Vix style!0 -
Whilst waiting for my farm to gow I've just caught the last episode of "The Diets That Time Forgot", kinda interesting stuff - overall assessment don't snack, smaller portions, exercise and will power. Quite tempted to try chewing my food more slowly and not eating in front of the TV. Although I think exercising more often may be a good idea too. And I have an admission (not including the snacking today) I forgot to register for my exercise class, though now the snow's gone I should be able to get outside and running again which I prefer.0
