Thats funny because ive been feeling really tired lately and i rarely eat red meat, only mince in a pasta once a week or so. Im not the biggest veggie eater too so my iron levels could be down too. Could you not eat some red meat now just to get your levels up and then decrease it a bit as you eat more veggies ect. Isnt spinach high in iron?
Army training fills me with dreadI bet that is absolutly hard as nails!!
Yes spinach is high in iron, but I don't really fancy it so I think I will stick with brocolli and force myself to eat some meat!
Well done alliwant for not giving into temptation, I know what it is like at work, there is always someone's bday or someone bringing chocolates back from holiday.0 -
weather's a bit dull today, hope it doesn't trick us all into comfort eating! Victory, I don't dare keep a tub of hummus in the fridge as it would be gone in a flash! your willpower amazes me.0

Our snow has all gone.
Vix - I got 'pinked' so hope that makes me a !!!!!!. I think my bum has gone so flat from sitting on this sofa for the past 4 months, waiting for sunshine and warmer weather. My BF is convinced I've flattened the seat out. The awful thing is, I think he's right.
I'm off out tonight for a late Christmas 'do', with my friend. It's something organised by a client of her's, and I'm her +1. She rang me a short while ago to say it's not the meal and disco we'd envisaged, but a wine tasting evening, with nibbles. This may sound lovely to many of you, but is not my idea of a fun night out. Firstly I don't really drink alcohol, and secondly I cannot stand the taste or smell of wine! I hate being in an environment where people get drunk, and loud, so it will be a rather tense evening potentially. I'd rather go to a vinegar tasting evening to be honest. Anyway, it will be interesting to see how it all pans out, and I'll get to meet some new people along the way, which will be fun I hope.
I'll try to steer clear of the bad nibbles. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Thanks QT I know what you mean about birthdays.
The biggest challenge for me is the christmas cake still sat a home waving at me but my will is strong at the moment. OH is slowly eating his way through it and I hope it will be gone next week.
Good luck with tonight sary right now I think that would be the worst place for me ....... all those calories in a glass. But the Vinegar tasting made me giggle :rotfl:especially after seeing that diets that time forgot programme and one of them drank vinegar as a appetite suppresssant and then threw up!!

Sary I'd recommend a Buff, they stay in place and they're very quick-drying, I use them for all my outdoor activities when it's cold!
Vixstar, how's the running going in general? I think it you who asked (a few months back) about trail running shoes and at the time I was just about to take delivery of mine? I ended up buying two different pairs and a few months in I'm really pleased with them - they've been through some very challenging conditions already! (I hope it was you that asked but if not maybe the info is useful to someone :rotfl:).
Hope everyone's having a great weekend! :j0
