I m going to try to get to M&S and look at their fuller for longer range, most of the time yes they are low in fat but high in sugars can't eat them but the spag bog with meatballs in the ad looks lovely so will look at the packaging and see, the snow here is really bad, icy roads, cars on drive ways, impossible, we did have a thank you phone call at work for attempting to get in so nice to feel appreciated but then again I live only 2 streets away :rotfl:my boss walked in and it took him 1 hour and 45 mins:eek:0 -

Hi Sarymclary,
I made the prawn noodle soup this weekend , including the "armpit fish sauce" .....it was really nice. Had an real oriental taste to it and really filling.
I worked out weight watchers points for the soup using both prawns and chicken and there was no difference, as long as you keep the portion weights the same.:D

Thanks Fi, I think I'll look out for the ingredients next time I go to my Sainsburys. What is the brand name for the sauce? I imagine I'll find it in the 'around the world' special section, which is where they put the Swiss Boullion, after I'd searched amongst the other stock/gravy shelf. I thought it would be yummy to add some extra veg to it too, and then it would really be a filling meal.
I've had my porridge today already, and kept it really low cal with 3 hermesetas and 90% water in it. I've made the boys some h/m flapjack for their packups this morning, and golly it smells delicious. I'm very good at having the mindset that it's for the children and not for me, so I won't touch it.
I have to plan ahead now for what we'll be having later. I may stick with Quorn for the next few days, as it' keeps the calories down, and I can eat more.
I'm off to find a recipe for cupcakes now to make for the children's lunchboxes, but I want a healthy twist to them, so will be trawling the websites now.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Blimey! I just went to check online the cost of the ingredients for the noodle soup, and with 300g of chicken instead of prawns, it would cost £19.76!!! That's a bit more expensive than a tin of Heinz isn't it? Unless you already have a well stocked cupboard with all the sauces, have miso and rice noodles already, etc, it's not very cost-effective. Mind you, the ladies in the show probably weren't bothered, because they were already living on ready meals. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Happy belated birthday KPC, good luck with the next two weeks!
Welcome shopaholic232, debcow, Sarahlou and any other new peeps. Keep posting and sticking to your plans!
Sary I've never heard of hermesetas - will have to google that in a minute!
Just been for a run in the snow, very refreshing! Weigh in tomorrow and then we'll see what a month of more 'relaxed' eating has done to me :rotfl: (but whatever it is, it was worth it).
Good luck everyone this week!0
