I would ask them to do some figures today for you before you go. Just tell them base the deal on yours being excellent condition and you don't want to waste your time going over if they cannot be competitive. There I'd no reason why they can't do this if you know the spec of the car you want.0

As I understand it franchised garages have an agreement with the manufacturer that they will buy a certain number (or value) of cars every month.
They *have* to buy them whether they have customers for them or not. Even if it means buying them and selling them on at a loss.
This is why you see so many 'pre-registered' deals around.0 -
Typical dealer speak wanting you in the showroom.
Matt the deal you mentioned earlier on the Fiat is crap. Arnold clark have hundreds of pre registered Grande puntos from about 8k up. There is no way you should be paying 13500 for a Punto, especially as the bluetooth etc is all standard
Tbh I would avoid a Ford. The cars are vastly overpriced to start.0 -

How much is a brand new Corsa? How much is a brand new Polo?"Now to trolling as a concept. .... That dealer will not do the zetec for £8k or anywhere near.
At 13k+ the fiesta is expensive, but at 9-10k I don't think it's too bad.0 -

...How much is a brand new Corsa? How much is a brand new Polo?
Here are the figures. Note these are the cheapest models available and are based on OTR list prices as published on the manufacturer's UK websites:
Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 £10.680 (£10,255 for smaller 1.0)
Ford Fiesta £10,895
Volkswagon Polo £9,435
I think if you feature adjust the price, you'll find them all very competitive with one another.
Of course it's then up to what you can negotiate with your dealer. Naturally the heavier the demand, the lower the discount probably achievable."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Is it Allen Ford who did the Zetec for 8k?
Nah, I am going anyway as I have to go to Bristol Street on Tuesday as my car is booked in because of the key they supplied is dodgy, and allen ford said they would take a look. Besides that, its my day off and it will be a nice little ride out. I prefer dealing face to face to be honest.0 -
