Lakeland has brought out a couple of new lollhy moulds. I bought these
    http://www.lakeland.co.uk/ice-lolly-moulds/F/keyword/lolly/product/13025

which are great if you don't have space for lolly moulds in a stand. Being silicone, it's also very easy to get the lolly out.

For a really refreshing lolly for my little 8 month old, I have been using the cheap flavoured water from Asda, it makes loads and the flavour isn't too strong for him (and it isn't sticky when it melts!!!)....

Hello, I thought you lovely people would be the best to ask for help...

As I'm diabetic and skint, I've really been wanting to make my own ice lollies -especially now the weather is warming up.

The only thing is I don't own any ice lolly moulds and space in my freezer is always at a premium, so I wondered if anyone had any inspired ideas for the actual ice lolly moulds.

What I really want is these: http://www.lakeland.co.uk/ice-lolly-moulds/F/keyword/ice+lolly/product/13025 but oh my the price of them  and it seems there's only one similar product on eBay which is equally expensive. :(

So anyone have any ideas? It's only lollies for 1 or 2 adults, and I'll mainly be using sugar free squash or jelly to make them I recon.

    Thanks for reading

H F-W made some lollies for sale in disposable cups with a stick in them. They looked a bit rustic, but I guess that's part of the charm :D

I'd just look around for cheaper options in pound shops etc. Until then why not freeze flavoured ice cubes and have a few at a time to suck on.

ice cubes are a bit messy though lol! :rotfl:

OH says the moulds I want would be an investment (isn't he sweet)!

I love all my silicone kitchen stuff that I already have, it works so well and lasts ages but it was all sale stuff except for when I treated myself to these: http://www.cookingtime.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=611 and then I only ever used them twice and they've been safely stored in their box ever since :o.

I also liked the fact they were non spill and no parts to throw away/waste.

Last time I made ice lollies I was a kid and had those moulds with a straw bit on the handle! :)

I like those Lakeland ones - you can make your own Calippos with them! I think I'm going to have to invest in some - less messy than a lolly on a stick.

I just wonder how easy the lakeland ones are to clean, unless you can turn them inside out to clean. I doubt with the shape if they'd clean in a dishwasher. The B&Q ones look good, except for not being OK for the dishwasher either, but at least you can get to it relatively easily to clean.
