God ive just got back from the post office......what a nightmare!!! I didnt know it was the last day for posting parcels to reach places by christmas it was packed out. But i had to stick it as they were ebay items i was posting.
Yeah my OH has said he would like to do off roading many times so he should be happy with it. I also got him a couple of jokey presents one being a Mr Men Mr Grumpy soft toy! Lol, i always take the mickey as he can be very moody and looks just like good old Mr Grumpy. I have pointed it out in tecso's a few times to him, and i couldnt resist buying it. Last year he bought me a hetty the hoover keyboard vaccum and he thought he was so funny for buying it for me. So its my turn this year.;)
Yeah Kavics i cant believe there on strike there pay is plenty enough for what they do i wish i had half of what they got! Ive never been away for christmas but feel sorry for those who have planned ahead and booked with them to go away.
My heart lanterns came today, I cant remember if i told you lot i had bought some? I bought a pair of heart lanterns for me and OH to light and let off into the sky to say a peaceful goodbye to our angel baby. I did want to let them off the weekend just gone before going to back work and things being normal again but they didnt arrive in time. Here's what they are: http://www.play.com/Gadgets/Gadgets/4-/9217036/Love-Heart-Lantern/Product.html
Hope you've all had a good day.
My day was ok, i went to give a list to the handyman and he said how sorry he was then we had a good 30 min convo about what happened and what my plans were for the future etc etc. He said he was angry as nobody told him he heard the good old chef talking about it with a chambermaid friend of mine. Then he asked what had happened to the chef and apparantly the chef was angry with managers for not letting everyone know, as he could of come upto me and asked to see the scan pic and upset me.
Bless the chef, normally his moody and angry all the time and doesnt chat very often unless theres nobody to cook for, but now ive seen deep down his a right softie!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Heart lanterns are lovely, such a nice gesture. I hope you're really doing ok-you can pm me anytime.
Post office is nightmare, on Monday I took 8 parcels with me and had to wait 45 min, I was so angry but ebay parcels had to go. I'm so glad I used a courier company for my family's Xmas present, they charged me £20 for 20 kilos-bargain.
We used to fly at Xmas time to see our families, not anymore. One Xmas it was snowing and they shut down Heathrow, Gatwick and Stanstead, our flight was from Luton and we could go ahead-no problem,no delay. That was the year that we decided it didn't worth the stress. Of course it's sad without them but from the other side it's so nice just being together with OH-we're both really emotional at Xmas time so it's simply lovely. IF you know what I mean :rotfl:. I ordered Twilight on DVD from Amazon, still had a voucher, i'm getting obsessed. And FirstDirect already paid me £100 for joining them-just on time for Xmas Sales
. Right, better go, off to gym tonight, and than need to study-assignment deadline is really close!

Yeah, im fine honestly Kavics:o
Going back to work has made me feel much better and that i can now look to the future. I couldnt control what happened and it wasnt my fault, but i can control what i do wiv my future. I wish it hadnt of happened but it did and theres nothing i can do to change what happened.
I dont want to mop around the house feeling sorry for myself, as its not going to make things any better just worse! So i will let off the lanterns with my OH say our final goodbye's and look to the future. And when we're ready will can try again.
Lol, i would love to have a christmas just me and my OH like you say! My OH goes to his nan's with his family in birmingham every year! For chritmas eve, day and boxing day. I get invited to come but i dont want to leave my family on there own and well like playing with my nephews and there toys!:D

Glad you're feeling ok, and hopefully you'll be ready to try soon.I'm so ready, shame Oh is not. What's the plan for future? Have you thought about it?
I can't imagine spending Xmas without OH, it must be so hard. I can do without family but not without him. The best thing about being on our own is that we really just concentrate on each other, and no one else. I miss my sister's kiddos though, they are the most beautiful and lovely kids in the world (probably because I only see them twice, 3x a year:)).
Gym is finally going well, I had a really bad period around Sept-Nov after the half marathon, just didn't have any energy to go and do the workout but I'm back on track now, enjoying it again. Money saving wise I'm so happy, just got paid from developer (he had to pay penalty as he didn't finish our flat on time-it's a BTL property), it's only £800 but will go towards loan and savings.0 -
Me and my OH have been together 7 years last week! And have never had a christmas together!
Every single year him and his family go away to his nan's house, they have done ever since he was small. I think he would stay down here if i asked him, but i dont mind as i know once we're living together we will have plenty of christmas's together.
I still havent got any plans for the future yet, atm im just floating along until christmas is here then we will have to make a plan before new years and start the new year with a plan.
Kavics £800 is a great sum to be espically just before christmas! And well done on getting back on track with the gym. Myself and OH have been together 5 years and this is our first christmas dinner etc together as we are at my Mums. We will be with his family next christmas which will be a bit weird as never had xmas not with my Mum and Dad!0 -
Aww yeah wendz, hope you have a lovely christmas dinner all togther. I would feel the same weird without spending christmas day without my parents. I would worry they would feel lonely without me being there! lol, although they would probably enjoy a quiet christmas without me!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Well done on getting the last of your christmas bits fun, can you come and do mine now? i will pay you for going to Bluewater for me? hehe! I actually like christmas shopping, but only when there are no crowds. Just love the feeling of walking about the shops in the cold, hearing the Christmas music, people being happy, its brilliant. Thats why i love Oxford St shopping at Christmas, everybody is in the festive mood. That's nice you buying the girls at work a box of chocs, they will really like that.
I had to go to the post office on Monday to post some ebay bits, i was in there for 1 hour, i wasn't happy. I thought i'd avoid lunch time and go at 4pm but it was still rammo.
I hope you're feeing better?

Oh, yeah, believe me, parents secrectly don't want you to spend Xmas with them :rotfl:. Mine at least. They are back to the honeymoon stage after nearly 40years together now that most of the kiddos are out of the house-it was tough for them when my little bro moved back in August (was away on a gap year)LOL:). It's really embarassing-I can't stand them kissing each other
.
We've been together for nearly 6 years, spent 5 Xmas' together:j, 4 only the two of us. Looking forward to the 5th one!0
