i'm also a chucker, OH just says oh keep it for a car boot but that stuff takes up the space for the things we really need/want to keep so it gets me frustrated.
Wish a load of charity bags would turn up as that makes it even easier.0 -
OMG.........Plan tickets and passports!!:eek::eek: that is bad!! Bet you were in big trouble.

Hi Lemon Tree :hello: Nice to see you
Did you get your dishwasher fixed?
Yes, saving for maternity is a great idea, as a large part of my debt built up due to a total of a year off work.
Chops, that was a long time ago and thankfully I've learnt my lesson :A
Well the 2 large toyboxes are done - *and exhale* It was surprisingly quick and easy.
I have one bag of decent, but really not worth selling, so charity shop stuff.
A binbag of chuckables.
The rest fits neatly back in the toyboxes and the lids now shut, so it's all lovely and tidy! :T
There are a few things to Ebay, but I'll see what they sell for first.
Sometimes the cost of postage and time is not worth 99p minus fees. They may go into the cellar for a carboot sale - I'll have to see. Better to have them gone I think
I still have a small pile to do in the living room, then have to tackle the kid's bedroom tomorrow.0 -
There must be something in the air;)
4 bags of clothes to recycle
2 bags of papers to go in the recycle bin
2 bags of absolute junk
2 HUGE piles of books and DVDs - 1 pile is the 'sell or charity shop' pile, and the other is '24 hours cooling-off period' pile.
1 dust cloud swirling around my head
Yay me!!:DOnward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Good Morning :hello:The scratches produced 80 whole pence this morning! :j I nearly jumped for joy when I saw 50p! (little things and all that )
I've read my Flylady email and am all fired up ready for part 2 of the Toy mission.
There is an airing cupbard in the kids bedroom, where towels and bedding are kept (this will be cleared out too). A couple of years ago, DH had a brainwave that he would build drawers and a hanging rail where the old water cylinder had been - for the kids clothes.
Why did I let him????? It's half a job, bless him. So doesn't really do the job, hence their clothes are now in our room, crammed into one chest of drawers and piled on top.
(God, I'm mortified admitting that)
Anyway, onwards.
Next weekend I'm going to try to palm the kids off on my parents for a few hours and get OH to tackle the attic. We have agreed that he will continue to use half of it as his office, and the other side will be a "dressing room" for the kids.
Still sounds bonkers, but it will free up some clutter in my room at least.
*sigh* I feel like such a KID!0 -
Why do you feel like such a KID? You seem to have a pretty good plan there!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Because I'm nearly 40 and have never owned a wardrobe :rotfl:
I seriously need to get my Sh*t together.....
I was looking at Property !!!!!! last night - just to spur me on. I'm aiming to move within the next year. We really want to hang on to this house and rent it out, as we bought it with that intention. Though looking around, we need to redecorate virtually everywhere, so come the Spring, I will be tackling those jobs.
On a positive, I had notification from Amazon last night that someone had tried to buy a box set I am selling, but there were problems with their card blah, blah. So Amazon have asked me to reserve it - so another £10 :T
I hope to have done the bedroom by 3pm, then will take the bags to the tip, together with 3 more bags of rubbish we have. The binmen haven't collected for the last month, due to snow....
Then I will be listing, listing, listing0 -
Well done on the de-cluttering. Everyone seems to be doing it at the moment. Agree about the whole Ebay thing, sometimes it just moves the clutter to somewhere else. I have a box of books that are listed in various places, once the listing is over, will just take to charity shop. CBA keeping them around anymore.
Before Christmas in a mad tidy, I moved all sorts and now need a massive declutter to find my cheque book and my Kipling bag that I use as a briefcase, although I think when I find one I will find the other.
Re: the kids clothes. I did something similar. DS (22) uses one room for his DJ stuff and one for sleeping in, and neither room is very big. I bought a hanging wardrobe thingy from IKEA, which is just useless, gets in the way and doesn't really hold anything and looks a mess. Result is that his clothes just get put in a laundry basket and live there, or else end up in my wardrobe.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
