Just got back from the shops to declare spends:
Amazon Postage - £3.12 (think all other listings will be UK only - this was to Denmark and only left me with a profit of £1.74 after postage )
Groceries - £34.32
Butcher - £9.77 He gave me a free Pork Pie with Bramley apple stuffing to thank us for our custom over the year :T (no good for me as I'm a veggie - but OH was chuffed!)
So added to the £54 I spent In Asda on Monday Total Grocery Bill for the 2 weeks (as we won't need anything except bread and milk) = £98.09
Expensive for some, but I'm delighted with that as I used to spend £400 a month
Total Amazon Profit for the week = £12.520 -
Those sales are coming through nice and steadily - I hope the great toybox declutter yields more saleable things for you!
The spends are doing ok too - as you say, it is a big difference from the spends of old, so it is a significant improvement :T

I am going to have a toybox declutter too but if will definitely have to take place when the little ones are at school
School have also said they are doing bag2school next week so I will have to see what I can sort out - a wardrobe declutter I think - although my clothes are so old they will probably have to go in the rag bin:rolleyes:
I can't face amazon or ebay so I will be recycling or charity shops for me:o

Most of mine is going to recycling/charity shops or the dump too........It is as much about creating space for my mental wellbeing as it is about raising cash for me......
I know that potentially there is money being thrown/given away, but if I am just in the mood to get rid of it, then that is what I need to do.....not just "shift" it into another pile of ebay/car boot that I may or may not ever get round to doing.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Couldn't agree more - I want it gone now and without hassle - I'm a lazy cow :rotfl:
But it does fit in with my new ethic of not wasting a lot of time chasing a few pennies and having a more balanced life - that's my excuse (although how farmvill fits into that I have no ideaanybody reading I need you to expand my storage

I have to admit, if I could afford for someone to come in and spend 24 hours decluttering completely, I would do so - just to have it all gone and to give me the space to start again. As long as I knew that all the "irreplaceable" was safe, I would be happy to take a chance with everything else
If they could decorate while they were here too, that would be much appreciated......Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Same here. Especially as I am married to a horder. Last night as I was taking a pic of a little coat that both kids had worn, I could see the look of sadness on his face. He's so sentimental, bless him - so I decided to keep it  He'd keep all their clothes and shoes til they're 18!
It's the constant feeling of being slowly choked by all this "stuff", that spurs me on. Plus I imagine it as fivers and tenners lying around, that tends to do the trickDouble_Trouble wrote: »(although how farmvill fits into that I have no idea

Hmmm, I did wonder about that one DT!:rotfl:
As for a better balance, I do know what you mean. I think it was Taxi who said she'd be better off doing extra hours at work to make more cash than the trickle that comes from Bingo or scratchies. I can appreciate that.

Morning MacGirl - Good luck with the Toy Declutter today and well done on the Amazon sales. Your grocery spends sound fine to me - We usually spend about £400 per month which I do need to bring down, (2 adults, 3 kids) but its very hard when OH doesn't eat cheap 'staples' such as pasta etc - I reckon if he did, I would have no problem reducing it. - I also woke to one amazon and one Ebay sale this morning (were listed yesterday) so Im well chuffed too!
Don't beat yourself up about the race spend - crikey, you work practically full time and look after two little ones - I think you're entitled to spend a little on yourself now and again

The other side of the coin is a DH who is a "chucker".
Store things in our garage at your own risk....I think me and the kids need some "please keep" labels to ensure he does not trot off to the tip with things we need. (ie he ones binned my gardening gloves...cause they were dirty:eek::eek:)LBM Total: £33356 15/11/09  £6085.63 paid

Thanks MissO! I've had visitors, so am about to start the dreaded toys now - wish me luck!
I have to say I am the "chucker" in our house Chops. I have been known to throw out my passport:o:o whilst on a cleaning mission. I even once threw away the return portion of a plane ticket - from America .
We had to buy another - 2!!!!!:o:o:o:o:o:o It's fair to say that was not my finest hour
