Of course Hypno is always right :p

Well done on not increasing your debt, it is rubbish when you feel stuck about the debt but as long as it doesn't go up then it's progress :)

Remember, it didn't appear overnight, so it is not going to disappear overnight.

I've been on this site for over 3 years now - posting every day, getting help and ideas from others, on this board and on others on MSE, and getting the debt down penny by penny, pound by pound........

I know that there have been times when I have felt as though I am going nowhere fast - but when I look back and see the differences between now and then, I know that it is all working.

Remember - baby steps! And DON'T GIVE UP!!!

OMG! You have turned into FLYLADY Hypno! :rotfl:

Yes, I know it won't go away just like that and the fact it has not increased is a minor miracle. The most positive thing that's happened in the last few months, is that I have changed.
Previously, certainly for all the years I've been following this site, I thought I was being MSE, but I was only really paying it lip-service. Taking advantage of the deals, but still spending like I was a Millionaire.

Now though, I am different and I honestly wince when I think how I used to be - I could easily be living in my dream house now, and that makes me really cross with myself.

However, no point crying over spilt milk, got to keep going, as I want this debt gone this year.

Just off to find my camera lead to download the Ebay pics.
    Thanks again xxx :)

Flylady is like water torture - drip, drip, drip into my psyche :rotfl:

It is having the desired effect though - my sink is shiny :D

Ditto what you said macgirl! It is only this year that I have told OH we can't afford to go on holiday. We have always gone away regardless of the debt we have but not this year. Someone asked me the other day if we had a holiday booked and I proudly said we weren't going away this year :D

In all honesty we need a new car and when OH gets his bonus in May we will have to look at a new car then, but usually I would allocate that money to car, holiday, clothes and then have to fund it on the CC and justify it - not this time!

Had we been more sensible I could have £1200 extra a month in my hand

And in due course you will have £1200 a month in your hand again!!

It WILL happen - honestly!! A few years ago I never thought I would be in this position - and to think that at its worst that was £2200 just on minimum payments  But I don't think I really thought about the fact that I should have £2200 in my pocket, I just look forward to the day when I DO have that money available and the choices that I will have THEN rather than the choices I could have had, but didn't!

Look forward - no point in looking back at what could have or should have been.

I've just finished photographing the last bits and am ready to list them. I can see why so many people can't be *rsed with Ebay, because it's so goddamn time consuming.

    *just think about the money*

This weekend I have the BIG TOYBOX DECLUTTER CHALLENGE. It won't be easy and there will be tears, but by Sunday night, I want at least a 50% reduction on what we have, as at least that much is never played with, so I want it GONE!!!

    Good Morning!

I woke up to another book sale :j so will post that off this morning.
No ballet or swimming today as they are both in treacherous areas, so we'll be in all weekend = NSD's with a bit of luck :T

10p and 25p from the scratches, but it's still torturously slow - payout is weeks away  Ah well, free money, must keep plodding onwards.

The overdraft is up to £238.99 this morning, due to the Manchester 10k payment. I'm sorry I entered now, I should have just waited for the ballot for the last 10,000 places. However I do have a place and that is much needed to motivate me to get running - when the snow melts :D (if it ever does)
We are due more snow today, so OH is taking the kids sledging.
I'm hoping to get out of that little jaunt, so I can get on with this weekend's mission.
    THE GREAT 2010 TOY DECLUTTER!

Hopefully by Sunday night I will have unearthed some saleable toys and have listed them on Ebay.
Still only got one selling :o but that has 2 days left and is currently on more than I paid for it :j 6 watchers on another item, so hope that will sell too.

    Right best crack on.

Hope you have a good weekend and enjoy the snow, Mac x :)
