Yey...I love sledging!!

I've posted off my first Amazon sale and made a profit of..................54p!
Hardly worth the effort, though it was my cheapest book  I think I'll try Greenmetropolis too.
Payments have gone out to MBNA today, which takes me to £56.08 overdrawn
I'm not beating myself up too much over that though, as if I hadn't spent £300+ on Mum's party, I'd be well within credit this month, which is a rarity in January.
Mum brought round a beautiful bouquet of flowers at the weekend, along with a card saying thank you "from the bottom of my heart", that it was one of the best nights of her life - so it was money well spent
I haven't spent any of my £100 on the £10k challenge, but have been plotting and planning, so will do that after payday. Speculate to accumulate!0 -
Whoopeee! Sold another book :j - this time I've earned £8.02, so less postage should still be over £6. I'm happy with that!
I bought some shopping this morning (which included emergency snow provisions - a sweeping brush and flask ) so I ended up spending £54! :money:
I'm feeling very "padded" today. Probably because of all the M&S biccies I've decluttered whilst "working" at home
I will (I will, I will, I will) start running once the snow goes (though OH is going tonight  - talk about making me feel guilty).
So instead, I'll search out more Ebay-ables.
It is difficult focusing on money-making, decluttering, body sculpting and MSE-ing - at the same time!0 -
Good Morning
A payout from Quidco means I am now only £54.28 overdrawn - so it's creeping down :j
35p from scratches, which won't make me rich, but sold yet another book last night, which should be another £4/5.
I gathered a pile to Ebay last night, so will sort that tonight.
As yet, we still don't know whether DD's nursery will re-open, as they closed yesterday lunchtime. DD1's school will be open, but either way, we'll have to walk both of them there.
I will work at home if I can, as by the time we've sorted them out, it'll be mid-morning before I get to work - where apparently another 3 inches have fallen overnight....
I really need to go in, but I did yesterday and was the only one in my department, then advised to go home :rolleyes:0 -
Wrap up warm and take care out there!
I am at work.....where I have just had two slices of toast with real butter - all that is missing is a log fire :rotfl:
You're doing well on the amazon front - I must make more effort thereSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I don't think you need to beat yourself up on any front Hypno! :shhh:
Well, I am at home. Walked DD2 to nursery on the sledge. DH walked DD1 to school on a sledge in the opposite direction.
We figured that we'll have to get them during daylight hours, so to arrive at work after 10am, then leave at 3pm would not work.....
Do I sound guilty??:o:o I really feel it - I feel like I'm skiving. I'm not disciplined enough to be a freelancer, plus I miss the buzz of the office
Must crack on, then I won't feel guilty doing my laundry and posting Amazon parcels at lunchtime! :rotfl:
Have a good day!0 -
HI Mac I'm also off today cos of the snow, DD and DS school has been shut, but i'm actually getting bored of being off work now as i have been off for nearly 3 weeks.0

Hi Miemie!
Skiving again! (me that is, not you hun). I actually don't like working from home, so I can see why you're fed up. There are too many distractions for me to concentrate, though the peace is good for one day.
I have to go in tomorrow, so am just working out with DH who takes who...
We are pathetic really in this country aren't we?! A bit of snow and we're in shutdown
(she says, toddling off the the PO to post money-making parcels)

Hi Macgirl
I am also back at work tomorrow - the roads around our house are a bit scary but the main roads seem fine - I would say we have had about 6 inches of snow.
Well done on the amazon and ebay listing. I don't find amazon too bad, its the ebay listing I procrastinate about although once I settle down with the camera, I actually find that I get a lot done.
I will be running in the morning, but luckily we have a decent treadmill at home (bought pre lightbulb!) so I can do a couple of miles b4 work. I must say though, investment wise its been a great buy, we have had it about 3 and a half years and it gets loads of use.

I'm really tired tonight for some reason, I've not exactly over exerted myself
So, I can't be bothered with any more listing tonight - I did list another book earlier today, so that'll have to do.
