Yes Hypno, you are right, but it will be a day or 2 away from packing and moving AND the children, as we decided not to take them.

I'm sure DH will agree with you and not hear of me not doing it. We'll see........

I feel really tired all of a sudden and have decided to open one of my boxes of birthday chocolates tonight and just chill. Hope you all have a nice evening planned xx

Think that's a great idea to just chill tonight as you've been so busy.
I also think it's a great idea to still fo the GNR but ultimately it's your call.

I've just been in the phone to my sister. She's been trying for a baby for 2 years with no luck. She;s just found out she has fibroids for the 3rd time and is really at the end of her tether. I feel so sorry for her. She is a A&E nurse in the States, so the adrenalin is pumping all day, which she knows is not good. So far she has avoided the IVF route and tried the holistic, Chinese medicine / accupuncture approach.

She said she's never felt better but still - she's not pregnant, so is getting deflated. She is 38 and feels time is running out, it's so sad......

Right really must shake a leg :o

Thank you Bernardm, that is a very interesting website. The Doctor she is seeing sounds to have an identical approach, but I will pass the details onto her.

Scarily, I recognised a lot of the stress/cortisol symptoms in myself. After the day I've had, I have made a decision to eradicate stress from my life as much as possible, because it ain't good.

Thanks again for sharing that :)

    Good Morning
Woke early as usual and was going to go for a run, but instead went back to bed and dozed until 8am - a lie in! :j

So today I feel a bit flat but also relieved, as there is not quite so much to pack into this weekend.
I AM still going to do the GNR, I can't let life get in the way, so will do my long run tomorrow as planned.

For today I am going to be glossing every bit of woodwork in sight :D
All the other paintwork is done, I'm just waiting for DH to put on a bit of skirting and architrave today, then it will all be done.

Moneywise I have £5.56 left until Wednesday, but I'm not planning on going anywhere or spending anything so it is doable.

Have a good day to anyone reading :)

Hurrah for a lie in :j

Happy Glossing - we can compare notes later in the weekend.......I am prepping today and painting tomorrow.

I am glad that you still plan to do GNR.

    Happy Saturday xx

    Update

    So far I've:

    1. Grouted the tiled hearth in our bedroom. It looks a bit odd with white grout, but we already had it, so like a good MSE'er - I used that :money:
    2. Glossed the porch doorframe and kitchen skirting
    3. We used to have a sliding door in the kitchen, but the sliding mechanism has been there for the last 4 years. Today I managed to un-gunk the screws and yank it off the wall :j
    4. Filled in the holes left by the afore mentioned
    5. Having a coffee break while waiting for the filler to dry:D

DH and DD1 have gone to town to have his ID verified for the THIRD time  and dropped in to the letting agent. So far so good, plus it's nice and sunny - bonus :)

Coffee / eyebrow plucking break :D

Glossed the skirting at the sides of the stairs using my nifty little paint guard! Also done the rad and one door frame in the dining room and part of skirting in there, I'll have to do the rest when we've emptied the room.

DH has fitted the architrave in the attic bedroom and filled in various holes ready for touching up later.(no rude pun intended)

It will be so nice to live in a finished house - right before we move out! I've been wondering why we never finished off all these jobs, but it's since we've had the children. They're only really just at the ages where they can be left to their own devices without constant supervision.

Starting to feel guilty that the kids have been left alone for much of the day, so might have to take them to the park after tea.

I've collapsed - my next chapter of undercoating/glossing will begin in the morning.

Ditto. I have to say I enjoy it and would carry on but it's not light enough. It's makes so much difference and everywhere looks clean and bright.

    For now
