I'm off to attack my to do list too.....have about 4 hours before DS is brought home by (X)OH so plenty of time for me to make some inroads :)

Well, I did plan to gloss the other half of the skirting in our bedroom, but I don't think that's wise when we are sleeping in there tonight? (Or would it be ok :D)

Emulsion will be fine, but to do that will mean moving everything around again. I am going to start the landing and stairs instead. My plan was to have all the decorating done this weekend, so there's a lesson in contingency plans right there.

Next weekend I'm going to start work on the cellar and possibly hire a skip. There is plenty to either carboot or charity shop down there, so it will be a job well done.

During the week I'll be attacking the attic and all the boxes of paperwork and filing cabinet. I've given up on the shredder, so instead am taking them down to my Dad to incinerate. I need industrial strength blitzing!

She is Taxi. After she was x-rayed I said "What do you say?" She said "I've got a lovely big dress on that's really spinny - look - Wheeeeee!"

And started twirling around in the x-ray room  The ladies were laughing their heads off. She was good bless her, I could have just done without it today.

Nevermind, just letting them watch the last of Charlie and Chocolate Factory, then bed. They are sleeping at my Mum and Dad's tomorrow night, so I can get motoring when I get home :j

    :rotfl: thanks!

Well I have had to admit defeat on Ebay :(

Realistically, I can't pack up a house, declutter (and I there is sooooo much to go through), redecorate - although that is on the home straight, work 40 hours a week and be a decent mother to 2 young children and Ebay, without killing myself.
If we are going to move in 4.5 weeks - it won't happen. DH doesn't want me to start putting anything in boxes until we get the ok from the mortgage - fair enough - even though I've got 30+ boxes piled up in my newly painted hallway :D:D:D

The photographing, listing, packaging etc will be the straw that breaks this camel's back, so I have shoved everything back in the charity bags and will stick them back in my car.

Although I'm annoyed at myself for missing out, it will only be a few £££'s and although it's not MSE, I've had chest pains in the past when I've taken on too much and it's not worth it.

Right, now I've got that off my chest and done another load of washing/drying - the stairs await - back later!

For what its worth Macgirl I think you have made the right decision. Moving is one of the most stressful life changes and like you say working full time, being a mum etc etc something has to give and in the great scheme of what you are trying to achieve ebay is the correct compromise x

I also think you've made the right choice...your health is worth a lot more than a few pounds off ebay..you don't need the stress as you've enough to do.

I didn't manage to ebay either but I'm consoling myself with the thought that there will be too much on this week cos it's free listing so I'm better off waiting;):rotfl::rotfl:....

Thanks Taxi and KM - would you believe I am considered a part-timer at work?! :rotfl:

Done half of the stairs and landing - had to stop as the light is fading. I bought a paintbrush with a bent end for radiators and was doing an impression of a high-wire trapeze artist - holding onto the handrail and stretching across to paint the top edge of the stairs wall (if that makes sense). I was praying I wasn't going to rip the thing off the wall! :D

So tomorrow night I'll finish the other side and will be very happy with that. Off to watch Peter Andre :D
