Amazing what you can achieve when you put your mind to it! :D

THAT is the key to most things in life IMHO!

Payday today - hurrah. I will go under £15k this month all being well.
I also have a half yearly pay review. I'm not holding out too much hope for that, as I always get my hopes up. I would forego the pay rise until April - and just have a bonus instead! Here's hoping....

Today my car is getting serviced, then it will be painting, decluttering, packing and Ebaying - all weekend.

I hope you have a good day :)

Car serviced = £77.40 so not too bad and a necessary evil as I do lots of motorway miles.

Ran 6 miles this morning and am feeling good for the 10k race next week (that I had forgotten I'd entered :o)

Gave the final coat of gloss to the bedroom and bathroom windows.

Glossed one half of our bedroom skirting and beading and mixed up some paint ready to emulsion the walls on the same half after tea!

Went to the supermarket and spent more than intended but that included "Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang" DVD to keep the kids occupied while I paint.

Been to the park and swings, so children have been exercised too :A

I'm itching to get to the bank tomorrow and have all our documents checked then we can post off the mortgage application. According to someone on the mortgages board - they had their valuation 2 days after posting and the offer 2 days after that! So hopefully this time next week we might have an offer :j

Ooh mac, all exciting on the house front. :j

Hope your offer comes through quickly. You're doing really well with all the house stuff. I've been lazy today and enjoyed my last day with nothing to do before going back to work. :j

    Thanks Gill :)

Have just stopped painting. Feel dead on my feet.
I've done the 2 long walls in our bedroom - with a 2" brush to avoid splatter (it's about 16ft long so felt like the Forth Bridge! :rotfl:)

One of the screws on the curtain pole is about to fall out so putting back the curtains tonight will be a fine balancing act if they are not to fall down.
Just going to make some food and watch some TV trash, then fall into bed.

A beautiful sunny day here - makes you feel glad to be alive :j

Lots to do today. Ballet, then bank, then post that lot off, then swimming lesson, then kids party.

Somewhere in between, I need to do washing, ironing and paint the chimney breast in our boudoir, and the skirting on the other walls, then that will be another job ticked off.

After that (and possibly tomorrow) I'll be mixing up more leftover paint to do the stairs and landing. If I can get all that done AND my 8-9 miles run I will be very happy indeed :D

Only spent £3.96 yesterday on postage and a Last Will and Testament DIY letter from the PO. That will do for while we're away, then we'll sort out a real one with a solicitor when we have moved.

Right, have a good day to anyone reading - hope the Sun is shining where you are :)

Morning - the sun is shining here too.

My paintbrush will be out at some point today too - am thinking of the bannister, plus the skirting etc in the bathroom as I noticed today it was looking a bit dingy..... DD did a feature wall in her bedroom yesterday.

    Enjoy your day x

Good evening, just sat down and am totally shattered now. No painting done today.

Instead it's been a whirl of lots of running about doing errands with no real time to get anything much done inbetween.

I have tidied and cleaned the house and done some washing and posted off the mortgage application, so now the clock is ticking. Despite having a pre-paid envelope, I sent it Special Delivery - £5.50 but at least it is guaranteed to get there by Monday lunchtime (I'll be on the phone Tuesday morning :D)
