Pretty much done for today. Am so tired, but that sort of satisfied tired at a good day's hard work :T
It's been a really good weekend (obviously, I'd much rather be out partying ) spent virtually nothing and got a mountain of stuff done.
As my MiL said, there's nothing like a deadline for getting things done.
Just going to have a shower, my hair is like Ross Noble  as I didn't dry it after swimming and my feet are red and white - nice!
Then I have to fill in the expenditure sheet the IFA sent me ready for tomorrow evening - gulp. REALLY not looking forward to that........0 -

Just finished filling in the sheet for the IFA. Don't know why I have this feeling of dread - DH is perplexed and said he looking forward to seeing me squirm  Guess I feel so ashamed that I still don't have my act together where spending money is concerned. One month of envelopes does not a frugal macgirl make..........
I would rather run round naked in the town square than bare my financial soul - so I guess I need to do it. Feel the Fear and all that (yes I [STRIKE]do[/STRIKE] did have the book - but sold it on Amazon :money:
)
Night all and have a good week x0 -
Nothing like having to write it all down to make you realise where it all goes - or doesn't? I used to sit and wonder where all my money went, now I've got less, its much easier to keep track of!!
Good luck with the IFA.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Didn't know whether to  or :rotfl:at that one!
I am sure it will be fine - you are doing it because something good will come out of it. If you were having to bare your financial soul in the name of something pantsy, then it would be far worse.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. What a busy weekend you had..you were like a pair of rockets..lol
Good luck with the IFA tonight.0 -
Gill - this house has definitely been the turning point for me - let's hope it sticks this time

Hypno - I joke
Taxi, lovely to see you again, hope you're feeling more positive about everything
Well, the girls are with Grandma and the house is clean and smells of fresh paint - I feel like the Queen!
I feel ok about everything. The figures do tally and it is workable. I don't know why I am worried - I guess the the shame of admitting I am/have been a reckless spender in front of someone who watches every penny (by his own admission)
We shall see - will be back later with an update x0 -
Good luck for tonight looking forward to your update0

He's just gone. Thankfully, no great shakes regarding affordability etc.
The key now is getting a concrete offer. We have an agreement in principle, but need to get a survey done and receive the firm offer for the new house before we start the rental ball rolling.
I'm off tomorrow for Sports Day, so will ring them at 8am when they open to do the full application and get a valuation done asap.
Then I am going to instruct a solicitor and get that moving - the IFA gets special rates from a reputable firm which will do the conveyancing for both properties.
Then it will be a tense wait for 2 or so weeks to see if an offer is forthcoming. Sleepless nights ahead
