it's because he is self employed thats all...as long as the accounts tally up they'll be fine. They have been wanting 2-3 years books to verify income.Sure it'll be fine.

Thanks Taxi. He;s been self employed for a few years, but the company has only been Ltd for a year. I woke up with a sinking feeling this morning, like it's on a little boat drifting away from us :o

I know we have to wait and see - but it's the waiting and seeing I don't like....
:rotfl::rotfl:.:rotfl:.at the though that they consider you a part timer at work. Don't you do compressed weeks or something, where you do the same number of hours but in less days?

Yes Gill, I do 32 hours in 4 days (and then some, at home ). I don't mind as I love my job :D

Just updated my sig, so have nudged under £15k at last.

Spoke to my Mum - who has been in business for over 30 years and said they always ask for an outline first, then when that looks ok, ask to see all the accounts. As Taxi said, it's just a formality. She thinks it's a good sign, as if we weren't a safe bet, they would have said no at the first post. Wait and see it is then......

    So far I have:
Put in 2 loads of washing - 1 on line and one in dryer
Sorted a bag for the charity shop - will drop that round later
Rang the house insurance to chase the repair work on the bathroom leak
Paid for my Sister to use my car for the week she is here = £71.75
Cleared our bedroom ready for the last wall to be painted - off to do that now!

Kids are painting and singing along to High School Muscial CD

Looks like its all coming together on the mortgage front. If that's the way it works for self employed people then it looks like you would have been knocked back earlier if they weren't happy.

He will still have information that he's used when working out his self assessment etc. so although the Ltd. co is new, he has been in business a while.

Yes thanks Gill, I think that's the case. His accounts have arrived back here this morning by Special Delivery, so hopefully that's another good sign.
I'm going to nag the bank again on Monday :D

Today I've been clearing and sorting. I've got 3 bags and a baby carseat to take to the charity shop. I don't feel guilty about giving it away, as I've tried selling it on Ebay twice, but I can't take it to the tip. It's never been in an accident, so hopefully it will go to a good home for someone who can't afford to pay much. (I have considered Freecycle, but that takes as much time as Ebay and time is not in abundance at the mo)

    I've got a 10k race tomorrow - can't say I'm prepared or looking forward to that :o

Other than that a colleague has asked to buy my old pushchair - so that will help to pay for school uniform this week :money: Hurrah!

Hope anyone reading has a good weekend :)

Got plenty done yesterday - including walking into a door and almost breaking my little toe - but that's another story

I'm Flyladying like a good 'un. I'm trying to do a bit in each room, so they are all getting gradually decluttered at the same time.
I managed to clear a box of paperwork for shredding/burning and 3 large boxes of baby things. I have decided to give these to a chairty shop. It's with a heavy heart, but I'm not having any more babies and my sisters don't look like they are having any soon (not that I'll be shipping everything to the States anyway....) So I have to let them go.

I had 2 huge boxes of baby toys too, which I washed and cleaned. I did consider putting these on Ebay as a job lot - I hate the fact that I am putting £5 and £10's in bin liners to give away  BUT, I think it's more important to get rid of stuff. They will benefit someone with less than me, so that makes me feel good.

Today is race day - not that I will actually be racing :rotfl: I'm just going for fun, so hope my little toe bares up....

Good luck with the 10k. Is it in Manchester?

Hope the toe stands up to the challenge.

    Exactly! :D
I'm really looking forward to it though - a bit a fresh air out in the countryside - what more could you ask for on the 1st of the month - my birthday month too ;)

I did a test jog to the shops and as soon as my trainers went on I knew it would be difficult. The pain the unbearable - so the race is off. I'm gutted :(
