Hello, just sat down with a coffee after a non-stop day - I'm pooped! :D

I was up until late texting DH to see if he's arrived safely - he got to the hotel at 1.30am. So I got up as early as possible and hoovered and mopped downstairs, changed my bed, prepared a rice salald for lunch and got myself and the kids ready for ballet. Then I took my friend to find a carpet shop, that had moved, so we inadvertently got stuck in traffic for rugby or football or something - didn't get to the shop after all that. It took about an hour to do a 10 minute journey

Hey ho, had a nice lunch (felt so inferior to posh friend's posh house - as we still live like art students :o - with delusions of interiors worthy of magazine inclusion :D)

Then zipped to swimming lessons and then the School Summer Fair. I had put my name down to help clear up afterwards, so lugged about 15 tables to their rightful places - after paying for bouncy castles, henna tattoos, buns, books etc - all in a good cause and thankfully I reckon I only spent about £7.

I'm expecting Dh home soon. He did the swim in 29 mins something and was gutted, as he swam a minute faster last year, but said he enjoyed doing it and being back in his home town. So it was worth it to him and good to do something for himself for a change.

Right, off to have more coffee and mentally prepare for a long run tomorrow :o

Hope all's well with everyone reading x

Sounds like a good day! Have a good evening - how far are you looking to run tomorrow?

Ooh that's a long way! I would be tempted with the lie in myself but I have to get up for paper rounds anyway.....

Well I DID lie in! No run as yet. DH and I were awake and deep in talk for much of the night, so I ended coming downstairs as I was wide awake - hence didn't wake until 10am and felt like I'd been hit by a train.......

I'm aiming to go this evening. It looks like rain here and the wind's picking up but it's still so close and uncomfortable. A run in the rain would suit me fine.

We're just heading out to buy my Dad a present for his birthday. The girls suggested a Power Ranger - but somehow I think not :rotfl:
Fingers crossed I can use my gift card in Debenhams and save :money:

Hope you are having a good day :)

Got a pressie with the gift card and only had to add £5 to it :money: Though had an envelope memory lapse and used my card instead :wall:

Bought the girls ice cream = £2 (DH chipped in the other £2 :D) so a cheap day. I already bought the cards last week in the sale :money: Hurrah!

Sadly, no run unless I go in a couple of hours as DH is cooking dinner as I type, but being a lark - my energy levels are seriously depleted now.
Inspired by Mrs H, I'm considering the 30 day shred as once it arrives that will be about the timescale until the big 4-0

Actually, I'm not remotely bothered by turning 40, I'm following my Mum's lead - worrying will only add to the wrinkles so why bother?! Mutton here I come :rotfl:

I'm glad I went for my run this morning - still have to do Shred, but will do that at about 9, when I can justify closing the curtains so no one can look through the windows and see me sweating like a sweaty thing!

I too am not bothered about turning 40, in fact I am quite looking forward to an excuse for life to begin :D

You are doing brilliantly with your exercise regime :T Running is off today. DH has asked of he can go out on his bike, and as I'm away for 3 days next week I can't say no.

So the alarm will be set for 5.30am and I'll try and squeeze in 10k before work in the morning. Monday is my very early start, but no excuses, it has to be done.

Right, off to put the kids to bed and tackle some work.

Have a good week and enjoy what's left of the weekend :)
