Thanks - back from the run. Got caught short at 7 miles - needed a "Paula Radcliffe" but not being PR decided against squatting by the side of the road, so took a detour instead

(Apologies if that's put you off your brekkie
) So managed 9.24 miles in 1hr 41mins - I'm very happy with that as it is the furthest I have EVER RUN!!! :j
I ate a few spoonfuls of porridge made with water, sliced banana, sultanas and a splash of soya milk before I went. Then at 5 miles had the lucozade orange gel (quite pleasant) with a swig of drink. That kept me going well without making me feel sick, so I'm glad it worked.
I've just had a 'brunch" of quorn sausages, boiled egg and rye bread. So I'm going to sit with the paper for half an hour, then crack on.
Hope everyone has a good day x0 -
Ohhh I bought the shred too .... Was meant to start it on Thursday but not had the chance yet .... Hopefully next week
Defo start it El - it's very good and for only 20 minutes a day - I think it'll be easy to stick too.
Have to say my thighs are feeling it today, so I might not take the lunges quite so deep tonight! Good luck with it

Just done 2 hours of ironing - ughh - would rather run 9 miles any day.
DH has cleared the decking and gone to the tip, so now I'm going to give the house a quick blitz, then get ready for the party.
Legs feel like lead - Lord knows how I will cope with Jillian ce soir....0 -
I'm glad you like shred. I find it just the right length/intensity to be something that has results, but not long enough to justify putting off for another day!
Well done on the run :j I did 4.5 this morning, but my legs were heavy from the long run I did yesterday. But today at the ski club I have had many good comments about the way I look, so that is motivation enough to keep going

I do like Shred, but sadly this morning's run has done me in..............OK, plus the 2 glasses of bubbly I drank at my friend's house

So Shred will have to wait until tomorrow, but I don't plan on another day off.
The upside is that we didn't spend ONE PENNY today :j so the envelope is relatively ok and should be until Friday. Lunch is made for tomorrow and dinner has been taken out of the freezer, so no need to buy anything.
In house news, THE house is still on the market, but as yet there is nothing else to turn our heads. The good thing I guess, is that either way, we will have less debt whenever we do move. After DH did some sorting today, I can see quite a few things for a carboot sale, so I'll try and arrange one soon.0 -
Great run this morning and fantastic that you haven't spent any money.0

I've missed shred too today......and feel really bad that I have done so!
Will be lunging with the best of them, tomorrow though!
Re the house - if it is a few weeks since you last spoke to the agent, it could be worth reminding them of your offer.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Yes Hypno, I may well be calling them or calling in this week.....
Woke to rain, though it's stopped now - good for the garden at least and it does feel cooler. A busy work week, Shred every night hopefully, no spends hopefully and bedroom blitzing tonight and tomorrow before the window men come and see the state of the place
Will update my sig tonight - have a good day all
