Well done on the run :j I followed the FIRST programme which is only running three times a week and cross training twice a week - but that was for the Marathon, but there is a programme for the half. I could photocopy it for you and send it you if you like?
Fitted me perfectly as I could only run 3 x per week with the kids and stuff and I was never really tired as I had lots of recovery days. Give me a shout if you want it.
I have also been out for a run with shorts on :eek:1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j
2nd debt - MBNA - £6,618.52
First in many many to go - baby steps and all that!
First lump sum to go - fingers crossed!

Just watched Mary Queen of Shops. I'm so fired up! It's a dream of mine to have a shop like that. She is such an amazing lady - so inspirational - I love her.
I'm quite fired up in general today. There's an opportunity at work that I am considering pitching for. It's a big step but something I feel very passionate about, I just need to do some research and put a proposal together. So, I'll do a bit on that, then off to bed as I have a busy day tomorrow and ironing to do before bed. Rock and Roll  Night x0 -
That sounds interesting Macgirl...good luck with that0

Thanks :A
As for shorts, I'm thinking you are like Twiggy, whereas I'm more Bella Emberg

Aaah no, never wore "proper" shorts until tonight and had that lovely ride up my leg effect as I sprinted down a busy road - hmm most attractive - probably looked like this from behind

Wish I could find one of me. Think "The Blob" in Daz blue-white - I looked like a white candle, melting. Not attractive.0 -
End of week 1 of envelopes and I still have £4.29 left - yippeee! :j Plus the house is clean and tidy, everywhere hoovered and mopped. Hurrah for the end of the working week :T
This evening I'm writing next week's meal plan before grocery shopping tomorrow. Hopefully I should be able to shave of a few £££'s and get it under £50.
It feels good not to have used either card this week. I bought 2 school dresses for little DD today = £6. Sadly they were the last 2, so I'll have to order the rest from M&S online - via Quidco of course
. They are 3 for 2 with free delivery, but still work out at £6 each.
I've found a Debenhams gift card that I got for Christmas, so hopefully I'll be able to get my Dad a shirt for his birthday next week :money:0 -
Hurrah for the success of the envelopes :j:j:j
I too donned my shorts for my run today - not a pretty sight

It has to be shorts in this weather - it's so liberating!
No run for me this morning, my friend called with a bottle of wine last night and had me in stitches with tales of her shenanigans. She hasn't tamed with age and is still hilarious, so the old diaphragm got a good workout at least!
Will run tomorrow and Sunday, when I'm aiming for an 8 miler
I'm going to hit the running shop sale today and buy a little bum-bag thingy to carry a drink and energy bar/gel and get practising with that. I could really do with a vest too, but that may have to wait. Can't believe how restrained I'm being - hope it lasts. I think this house has really focused my mind.....
Other than that I have the dentist to check my toothache - which has now stopped of course - and grocery shopping for the bare minimum.
Hope you have a good day

I am doing walk/run with running buddy on both Saturday and Sunday. I think Saturday is 50 mins of 4mins run 1 min walk, and Sunday is 70 mins of 3 mins run 1 min walk, so although it is not what I *should* be doing for half marathon training, I figure it is still a good amount of effort which all adds up.
Tonight, I am hoping to go and do 5 miles or so on my own.....I reckon that if I can do the run/walk stuff with buddy, and one decent longer run on my own each week, that should be enough.
I too was thinking about looking for a running vest at lunchtime.....but then I decided that is a sure fire way of the sun and the heat disappearing for ever!!
Glad that the envelopes are focusing the mind - something so simple is being so effective for both of us :TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
