Ahhh no that sounds awful..why isn't the money there yet?0

Now that I'm clam it's probably because I got paid on Friday. The money transfers on the 25th and is usually in by the 28th at the latest. I guess the weekend has thrown it out a day. Finger's crossed it will be there tomorrow.
DH was meant to transfer money for our trip in August - but has been "too busy" and forgot  Plus he said he was increasing his share by £150 per month in May - that has still not materialised....
Must nag harder

How v annoying on the joint a/c. My own OH is having some kind of crisis where he keeps mixing up his own spending with the joint spending - with result that joint is depleted due to his spends. I know it's a genuine accident but I keep having to sort it out! So today, he went to get some money and the machine wouldn't let him. why's that, he asks? Answer is, because he paid for soemthing for our August holiday on it, and transferred the money for it from another a/c...not to the joint a/c...but to his own! He's really losing it, poor Mr R.
And, going back a page or two, my 40s are proving to be my best ever decade...so yes, bring it on, they're great!

Mrs R..your poor OH being confused..mine is useless with banking.HE doesn't even know how to use a cash machine0 -
Thanks Mrs R and Taxi :A:A
The problem as always, is too many plates to spin and invariably it's always the money ones that smash
Tomorrow I've got the afternoon off to take little DD to school to meet her new teacher and classmates. We can also order the uniform and other accessories which won't see much change out of £80.
Thankfully they can wear unbranded skirts and pinafores, so I've already bought a mixture of 3 for 2's and supermarket specials :money:
After that, the only things we will need are school shoes x 2 and school coats x 2. Think I'll hit Ebay in search of some bargains....0 -
Bah to all things crappy relating to money.
But hurrah for the 6 miles :j

Oh meant to say, I have entered a half marathon for the end of August :eek:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Whoo Hoo!! Good for you - will you be my virtual training buddy? I need to head over to the DFW running club for some advice on my training plan - or distinct lack of....0

Of course! Although at the moment I am not doing the sort of training I would choose to do for a half, as my new running buddy is very much a beginner. Today I ran to hers (7 mins) then we did 10x 3 min run 1 min walk, then I ran back home again, (another 7 mins).
But, it is all time on my feet, and even run/walk is better than sitting on the sofa. Will prob run with her 3 times a week, and try and get a couple of non-stop runs in on my own in between times.
I am out with her again on Thursday for 45 mins.
That means, I will probably go out on my own on Friday night for an hour or so.....so far, 5 miles is the furthest I have been so need to start upping my milage somewhat as I only have 61 days to go :eek:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I've just been checking out 10k and 10 mile races to get practising. There is a good off-road 10k I will do in August, but the 10 milers are either miles away or too close in weeks....
I really should join a running club to up the milage and relieve boredom. I am comforted by the fact that one of my friends is in a running club and does lots of races. She said the first time she did a half marathon the furthest she had ever run was 10k - so I don't feel overly daunted. I only fear the heat, as I hate running in the Sun.
