Well, my 40s surely can't be any more stressful than my 30s, given that we bought the house from hell when I was 29.........

bring it on, that's what I say too!

"Grease" was in the supermarket for £5 last week, so I bought it for them. They've watched it non-stop since then and sing along "You're the Biddly-bum, you are the biddly-bum Oo-oo-oo Honey!"
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Hours of fun!

:rotfl::rotfl: I love kids when they come out with stuff like this. My 3yo nephew asked the other week if the skirt I was putting on was mine.:think: When I said yes he said, "Oh, cos my mum has a skirt like that but it's smaller". Gee, thanks.:rotfl:

Me and my sister watched "Grease" non-stop for literally years. No wonder it now drives my mum mad. :o:rotfl:

Good luck with being grown up and sensible. :D When we did our wills we put in a clause about our three cats - the solicitor looked at us like we were mad. :o:rotfl:

Thanks Sashy! Hope you're ok :)

DH and I have just had a heated debate about who we'd nominate to have our kids in the event that we died together. The couple we had previously thought of have children older than ours and we share similar values. I asked them a year ago - half-jokingly / testing the water - if we could put them down and her face fell as she said a few people had asked them. (Plus just as their own kids are getting ready to flee the nest, they don't want to start again, with someone elses).

So I've just told DH that is a no-no. He thinks my parents are too old and his couldn't, we don't want any of our siblings with the exception of my sister who lives in America and he's not too keen.
    *sigh* What a horrible conversation.

I'm ok mac, still jobhunting but waiting on hearing back from an interview I had last week that seemed promising.

That does sound like a horrible conversation - I know my mum went through something similar when we were younger and she made her will. Especially since she was a single parent and didn't want our biological father to put in an appearance if the worst happened, not that he ever bothered much(!). She was luckier in that she is one of ten children and only two brothers don't live in the same town, so think one of my aunts was named.

    Take care, I'll be lurking. :p x

DD1 and I had that coversation today regarding my little grandson with the result being that me and DH have him and failing that them my other daughter will be bringing him up.He won't be going to his fathers side of the family.
These conversations are hard...we haven't done a will either...don't know where to go to do one.

Good luck with the job hunting Sashy, something will turn up soon as I know you keep plugging away x

Taxi, I enquired with a firm a couple of years ago after Martin posted an article about an offer for Free Wills HERE.
I was too late for that, so although it's been on my "To Do" list, the cost of it pushed it to the back of the queue.

Last week a firm rang me and although I was sceptical, they explained that their overheads are lower as they are not solicitors and come to your home. They are covered by the Society of Will Writers and to be honest, sounded straight up....if anyone reading thinks I'm making a huge mistake and should pay a solicitor - please let me know.

Ran my 6 miles this morning. Felt great as it was nice and cool with a welcome bit of drizzle.

I've had throbbing toothache all night and for most of the day, so that's not been pleasant :( I've got to go back on Friday. Fingers crossed it won't mean a new crown = £200 _pale_

In money news, £1 spent on breakfast at work today, so not too bad, plus another £1 into a Get Well collection. Other than that all's well. Hope everyone's had a good day too :)

Rewind - all is NOT well  Just checked our joint account and the lump sums that we transfer for mortgage and bills each month is not there yet!!!! Grrrr, we are never overdrawn on this account and I pride myself - that unlike my personal one - it is blemish free.

    Until now - it's £643 overdrawn!!!! Arrgghhhh!!!
