Been for my run it took an hour this morning and was v.hot. How on earth am I going to run for another hour is beyond me. Why oh why oh why did I enter a bl00dy half marathon???? :o

The best thing about running for me is thinking time. I never run with music, I feel suffocated with earphones in, so I seem to sort my life out when I run.

Today I was thinking about the nice happy subject of wills and life assurance. We have a joint policy, but really need an additional one each I think, to up the amount paid out if the worst happened.
As DH and I are flying without the kids in August, we really do need to sort out a will. It's a grim thing to do I know - who will have the kids if we die :( But it has to be done.

I received a speculative call last week regarding wills, as I'd enquired a couple of years ago, when Martin mentioned a free will writing offer. I was too late for that, but their latest offer is only £59.
I might pop over to that board (if there is one) and make enquiries about this firm.

Anyway, I've divvied up the funds and put into the envelopes. I given myself more for week 3 as I'm away with work in Berlin and always seem to spend more of my own money
Plus it's my Dad's 65th birthday - what to buy the man who has everything? Will have to get creative on that one....

Right, off to shower, have brekkie, then we're taking the kids to the park to tire them out before the footie this afternoon - Come On England!

Have a good day to all :)

Well done on the run - it really is hard work in the heat isn't it! Good for you though, and for the GNR you will be fine.

    Come on England indeed :D

The Sun is the only thing I'm really dreading about the GNR, as I am an early morning (preferably Winter) runner, so will need to invest in a hat and possibly some lightweight trainers to keep the old trotters cool.

Right, must crack on, all I've done is put on the dishwasher, washer and tumble dryer and hung some towels on the line - oh and read the Sunday paper, so must go and be productive!

Just watching Stevie Wonder on Glasto - he is amazing - a musical genius. I'd love to be there.

Got a good bit of decluttering done this evening and all other jobs done ready for another week on the hamster wheel. The spends are dwindling after I bought ice creams at the park, then little DD dropped hers - cue roaring her eyes out, so another £1.50 spent. Lunch is made for tomorrow and dinner prepped for tomorrow evening, so all in control.

Right off to bed. Have a good week x

Good evening. Still have £10.35 left in my purse after buying breakfast at work.

Need to re-do the sig later and do 15mins of decluttering. I'm trying to follow the Flylady plan and do 15 minutes every day as well as the daily routines.
We're getting the windows replaced in 2 weeks :j, so I'd like to be clutter free to avoid total embarrassment when they arrive to fit them :o

I'm always shattered on Monday evenings, but I am going to try and do my 10 minutes Solutions Pilates DVD that I bought months ago (and never once used :o)

Not a bad diet day, apart from cupcakes that someone brought for their birthday - of course I had to have one!

I've been thinking about the lovely house today :( DH and I talked about it yesterday. He thinks that they will come back to us in a few months, I'm not so sure. I think someone else will offer more and we'll lose it. My workmates agree with DH, but that is just giving me false hope. If it's meant to be blah, blah.....

Hope all's well for anyone reading x

    Certainly will SS! ;)

    De-cluttering done, DVD not :D

The kids have only just stopped calling me for various reasons, and now I'm too tired. I have a slightly later start tomorrow, so am going to fit in 10k before I go to work.

"Grease" was in the supermarket for £5 last week, so I bought it for them. They've watched it non-stop since then and sing along "You're the Biddly-bum, you are the biddly-bum Oo-oo-oo Honey!"
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Hours of fun!

We've made the appt for the man to come round and write a Will for us. The low price made me suspicious as I've had 3 quotes over £250. Anyway, it sounds legit as they are purely Will writers as opposed to Solicitors so hopefully we will be getting a genuine bargain - though I will check up on them beforehand.

We're going away without the kids for my birthday :j, so I'm going to prepare a document containing info on all my debts, life assurance, Will etc just in case :( It will be heavily sealed and only my sister will know about it, then it will be destroyed on our return.

Feels weird to be so grown up and sensible, but needs must I guess...

I really believe that. My friend who is gorgeous and fun and every man's dream has just found true love at the age of 41.
She has had some really carp luck in the love department and after her last long term relationship ended last year, she thought she was on the scrap heap. Well no longer, I've never seen her so happy and she looks years younger. I'm absolutely thrilled for her!

I'm not dreading my 40's at all - bring it on, I say!!!
