That was a busy morning and you should be proud of yourself...0

Thanks Taxi, I finished the table but had to buy more teak oil (£4.49) as we couldn't open the tin - think it was very old.
I have also got a very red backI got collared by my elderly neighbour this morning. She's lovely, 96 and still going strong, she wanted to know where I'd been all week - doesn't miss a trick - I guess that's how you make it to that great age. She said she sees the same people walking up and down the road at the same time each day and wonders about their lives, what they do, where they are going etc! She's an inspiration.
I could feel the Sun on my back and was trying to move as I hadn't put any suncreen on - ouch. I have been burnt a fair few times in my life too - not good for someone with fair freckly skin.
I've slapped on the Aloe Vera gel, so hopefully that will help to heal it....
I'm aiming for a few NSD's this week and will look to tighten the budgets. DH is going to get his accounts this week, so we can ring the bank and discuss mortgaging ourselves to the hilt. We will just ask the questions and then weigh up the figures and take it from there.
Anyway, enough waffle, hope you have a good week if you are reading x0 -
Its all getting exciting on the housefront.
The neighbour sounds very well and all there for 96..bless her...0 -

Hello
Managed to shlep through Monday. Little DD kept me awake virtually all night - thanks for that - so I felt like I'd been hit by a truck when the alarm went off at 6am
Work was ok and kind of good to be back. On the house front, I have made an appointment to have ours valued on Friday. I don't know whether I'm putting too much pressure on myself to have it ready for then and might put them off until mid month, as I'm off next week, so could get it into better order. Do they value it on the amount of clutter, when it will be let empty/unfurnished? I don't know.
Hope all's well with everyone x0 -
If it's rented unfurnished then they will know what price it will go at off the top of their head...so any clutter in your house wouldn't matter.0

I have put them off until next week when I'm off and can be proud of the house, rather than shoving any undesirables in cupboards or under beds
Payday today :j so I will set new budgets tonight. Managed a minute spend of 50p, so almost a NSD. Picked up little DD, who really is hard work. She is only 4, but has been trying since literally day 1. She is having a tough time at nursery, making herself sick, refusing to eat etc. We sorted that, then she started again last week whilst I was away. I beat myself up, because if I didn't work she wouldn't be in nursery and perhaps wouldn't be having such a tough time.....
She has been crying and grumpy since we got in, saying no one listens to her, so I asked her what was wrong and tried to gently talk to her, she stonewalled me and because she was getting attention decided to use it by shouting and being generally horrid  So I packed her off to bed and have had a cheese sandwich and 2 glasses of wine!
Wish I could get away for a day at Chelsea0 -
((hugs)) to you. But remember you ARE doing a good job xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Thanks x Think I'm just tired and in a nark with OH as I'm driving the move and he's dragging his heals.
He's not motivated to finish jobs on the house, when I show him houses he says "Not now" and he still hasn't got his accounts together so I can ring the mortgage company.
If I was reading this, I can see it looks like subconsciously he doesn't want to move (or he's a lazy a*se) but he is mentally tired from me being away and his work is full on (plus he's self-employed, so there are other added pressures). Perhaps it's just me being impatient
Back to Alan Titch0 -
